  1. Better now than April imo. It’d be great to get a nice April for a change.
  2. Rooting for you guys further south! I love snow like any other weather weenie, and it was wonderful to watch PVD smash their previous record. However, when you are an essential worker and you need to travel in this stuff, it changes your perspective a bit.
  3. I’m honestly hoping someone else gets snow next week. We have a whole season’s worth in PVD. It’s exhausting trying to walk around the city with the snow everywhere. It was amazing to experience history, but the aftermath is not nearly as glamorous. I’d be happy if it somehow snowed at that snowman guy’s house up north and not down here next week. Let him have the extra foot and a half.
  4. No matter the orientation of these bands, they all find a way to pass through PVD. Big flakes! What a truly incredible day.
  5. Which is amazing to think how this area maximized the WWA and deformation to really bring this home. Just the right time at the right place.
  6. The echoes look lighter but it’s just as strong as it has been. I think we push 38”. This is a full corpse rotting in this band. Never in my years studying weather have I seen a mesoband this persistent outside lake effect or ocean effect snow.
  7. Got it, that’s what I figured, but the local news has been playing up this 1pm measurement. Didn’t know if there was something particularly special about it. Thanks!
  8. A bit of a naive question, but if PVD doesn’t hit the record at 1pm, what’s stopping them from hitting it at 7pm? Is it a 24 hour snow record?
  9. I think PVD has a serious shot at breaking that record from 78.
  10. Continuing to pound here in PVD. I wish I could tell you how much we have, but it’s impossible with the wind.
  11. Even being in a well light part of town, I can’t see more than 30 feet. This is insanity!
  12. There’s no way the city can compete with these rates and the blowing snow. Coupled with how slow snow removal was last storm…it’s going to be a mess in PVD for several days.
  13. Long time lurker here, but this blizzard finally pushed me over the edge to post. It’s an absolute crush job here in PVD. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. It’s how I imagine those massive blizzards in the Upper Midwest would be.
