nice Jay. You’ve been in a great band. I’m a couple inches behind you at 4”.
I'm really second-guessing myself. I will feel a little better when someone else measures.
I'm rusty from no storms, and I do not like throwing out numbers substantially higher than everyone else.

Probably at least 6-7".....

Never would have dreamed this would continue like this lets go

It's heavy snow + massive massive massive flakes UNREAL

Up to 6"
Snow growth is still off-the-charts good. It's snowing the most fantastic dendrites right now.
It's stacking so efficiently, it seems like that jackpot area west of Hartford played out well.
It's not elevation based, but just far enough away from the dry slot to do well.
All of this snow growth stuff is an added bonus.

It's snowing well over an inch an hour, I might be up to 5" by 1130.

KDP shows some exceptional dendritic growth in that band from near Hartford all the way back to NW NJ. If you look up into the DGZ (~15kft up) you can see KDP values occasionally reaching 1deg/km which tells you you're getting some exceptional snow growth. Big time reports under that band in NW NJ and SE NY... hopefully parts of CT can cash in.
I have 3... Will soon be 4 weatogue

Tell him if he's mean to daddy, it will never snow again.

The 16z hrrr would looks like it would bury most of CT. It keeps that dry slot down near shoreline.

I know it's taken in jest, but the geese are quite active around here today. Saw and heard multiple groups packing up and getting out of town. As one astute poster mentioned the other day, they seem to be more reactive than predictive. Lots of evidence of that today.
Any of them suslack while you were watching them

It is time for us to rock one of these storms up here in the hills - maybe this will be the one.
I'm hoping we can get this organize faster than currently expected. Keep that dry slot away.

Yeah the GFS rips the guts out at the 700-500 level for a few hours after midnight through about 5am for most south of 84. Hopefully its an overshoot and doesn't pan out like that
If you ignore snow totals, you will see it keeps highlighting the same areas around Burlington, New Hartford, up to MA border.

Would love to see that happen.
It appears it's dependent on how far north the dryslot is able to progress. It currently limits areas south and east of 91. If we keep that far enough away, it pounds longer snow-wise, right in the area I mentioned.
