I am prescribed a variety of things for my laundry list of back issues. Doesn't do a damn thing when the 5 or 6 flareups a year start. I've been battling a flare up for close to a month and a half now. 6 trips to the chiropractor this month alone. It's a big help. I can only imagine what kind of shape I'll be in at 50.
The flare up pain I had in two of my most recent episodes has been obscene. I pulled my back golfing last summer. Played through it. Got home and took a nap. Woke up on my side. Couldn't move out of the position. It took me an hour of screaming, crying, yelling to go to the bathroom for the first time. I went to the hospital the next day. I was in so much pain my blood pressure was through the roof.
There's days I don't even want to get out of bed. Or I'm in a bad mood and a ton of pain and I let it affect the way I treat other people. It's frustrating, but you just have to keep going.
