  1. March 15th is my cut off date. Unless there is a big dog snowstorm coming I cheer for warmth and sun. Nov 1st-March 15th I cheer for cold and snow. I got strict guidelines.
  2. .LONG TERM /WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/... While temperatures will average above normal for much of this period...a pattern change from one of a progressive flow to a more highly amplified blocking one will lead to lower mercury readings as we head from Friday into the ensuing weekend. The culprit for this will be the building of a west coast ridge that will lock in a +PNA pattern as we head into the middle of the month. This supports the 6 to 10 and 8 to 14 day temperature outlook from the Climate Prediction Center which suggests below normal temperatures of our region for much of the middle of the month. Given the return of a locked in longwave trough over the eastern conus...we can look forward to a higher potential for lake snows and more frequent frontal passages from clipper systems.
  3. Picked up another 1.3" overnight. Final storm total 14.4". 74.2" season total.
  4. I think Perrysburg after todays snow goes over 20" for event. Also a higher one from Elma in southtowns ...Erie County... Elma Center 0.7 SE 15.0 in 0900 AM 02/04 COCORAHS
  5. Storm totals were 10-18" across WNY. Here is a weenie drift in my backyard, 6 foot fence.
  6. 13.1" storm total. Finally stopped snowing. Average snow depth is 16-17"
  7. First flakes flew around 10:30 on Weds night, still snowing at almost 2 Pm on Friday.
  8. Moderate snow falling here, heavy snow just to my SE. This stuff adds up quick with better size dendrites.
  9. Well they are 3-4 miles apart. The one that measured higher was closer to Lake Ontario and likely had lake enhanced totals while the other was 2.3” Ese of Lockport. Also if you weren’t measuring every 6 Hours with this pixie your totals would be much lower as it compacted quick.
  10. I like to do model verification after. Want to see which ones did the best lol.
  11. A general 8-16" across WNY. A solid hit across the area with it being mainly 1:10 ratios.
  12. Highest totals were Lockport and perrysburg with 16.8” and 16.5”. Highest in Erie was 13.6” https://kamala.cod.edu/ny/latest.nous41.KBUF.html
  13. I wouldn't put it in that category but I enjoyed the premise of it. Step Brothers is an all timer.
  14. Snow Totals https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&product=PNS&issuedby=BUF
  15. Picked up 11.7" of pixie dust snow the entire event, some of the sloppiest snow of the year. Thought we'd do better but ratios were pretty low. 71.5" on the year.
  16. Looks like a pretty uniform 8-12" across the area. Snow depths below. Going to do a sample later to see how much water is in this stuff, going to be the highest I think in quite awhile. https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&product=PNS&issuedby=BUF
