Up on top of my little hill the yards at the top are littered, but as I dropped down off my hill, there is very little evidence of wind.
I’ve got enough campfire sized branches down for all of next hear. Did see one 12” pine snapped on a neighbors garage. Took out power line to house.

Just went out and there is hardly any sign of wind around here. ASH is just an epic wind hole.

70 mph MHT.
It ripped as the front went through. Flickered for a good 5 mins.

Ok. Windy enough for me. Two weeks of quiet can begin now.

Ya pattern looks horrendous after Christmas with pacific warmth flooding the US. Woof - this is worse than those years when it was 60-70 in December bc there wasn’t any expectation. This is to be has to be up there with the worst weather December we’ve had. Teased with tons of potential for one 1-5” Light snow event that melted within a week in SNE.

December is no longer a winter month until further notice.

Can we turn this into a low topped squall line for Wiz? Best winds verbatim on GFS miss offshore.

What if we just moved the start of meteorological winter to January 1? That should solve a lot of issues.

Still going to cut but that’s a HUGE difference at the surface and aloft vs 12z. It’s a positive trend for sure.
Small reminder that a single model run doesn’t make a trend. I was once told with respect to modeling:
Once is an aberration
twice is a coincidence
three times is a trend

Snow mixing in here.

Just embrace the Grinch. Happens every year. Shouldn’t be surprising. December isn’t a winter month anyway.

When I became a home owner my desire for every storm to work out perfectly evaporated. Now I just hope for no damage. But as I bring in the garbage barrel in a wind driven rain I’m now a bit disappointed that it’s not snowing. Too bad.

wonder if that area around MHT and just South and SW can get in on a thump
Interesting drive from south to north Nashua this morning. Nothing at mi casa. Solid coating to an inch here in north Nashua.

GFS reminds me of January 2018.

Up in New Hampton, NH this morning and was struck by the lack of cold.

In George’s defense, he’s not wrong about the EPS Ensemble mean snow.
But other than that, yeah. Go Wolfie. -

For S NH I imagine the hills in Holsett to Goffstown even at 500’ down to Mont Vernon are lookin very pasty if this look keeps up . That added latitude N of Ash will help as well as the extra few hundred feet
How about my 425’ versus your 200’?

Do you all remember when there used to be 3-6” snow storms?
