Sleeting here in toxaway. Lol

That’s the worst wind and rain I’ve seen in a long time. Most of the county is without power and lots of flooding. We ended up with 8.25 inches of rain.

We haven’t had a good mast crop in several years due to late freezes.

Hey guys what’s the weather looking like for the 1st week of April temp wise? I’ve got a order of day old chickens that’s supposed to ship out to me and they can’t ship them if it’s to cold.

GFS is on board with all 3 events also. So this could end up being a significant time period for us.
Any of these look to break containment or just stayed confined to the border counties?

Dang I thought you would get closer to 5 or 6..
Temps and moisture coming in due west didn’t work to good. A Southwest flow would have gotten me there and probably more.

We got really good rates for about 2 hours and got about an inch on cars and elevated surfaces. Temps and rates just didn't cooperate. Probably would have been at 6 inches easily if we would have been below freezing. Oh well, on to the next one...
Yep. We ended up with about 1.75”

Roads becoming covered and slick really fast now.

I'm about a mile or three northeast of the North Transylvania Fire Department, towing the line between Pisgah Forest/Etowah/Mills River.
Ok. I’m on 281 north about half a mile in toxaway.

Hardest it's snowed all day here, looks beautiful, starting to get hopeful for at least a 'lil accumulation.
What part of Transylvania do you live in?

Look at LiquidBud post in main thread. Unless it starts ripping soon your forecast is going to bust big time. Pride comes before the fall young man
What did he post?

GSP just released a lengthy updated discussion which is worth reading. For what it's worth they've increased the foretasted snow amount imby from 2-4 inches to 3-5.
Basically, as has been noted, the heaviest precipitation hasn't arrived yet.
Winter storm warning maybe?

Hello, longtime lurker—can't read maps to save my life yet, so I'll probably mostly stay that way for a bit longer 'til I get a little more educated. Just wanted to share an obs for northern Transylvania—it was mostly a rain/snow mix since 10:00 a.m., changed over to all snow in the last 30 minutes. Coming down at quite a steady clip, hopefully it will start sticking soon and we can squeeze two or three inches out of it.
I've greatly appreciated everyone's valuable insights over the years, it's tough to fight the temptation to refresh over and over again when you guys are tracking snow.I’m in lake toxaway and it’s been all snow science 9:00. Currently 33 and hammering. Got about a half and inch.

Anyone not feeling optimistic should look at Knoxville radar. Could be a good afternoon.
I’m more interested in what’s coming through northern Alabama and Georgia.

Looks like flooding concerns for the southern and eastern escarpment coming this week.
