Rain started at exactly 4pm
-
All my north pole glaciers down to the last few raggedy feet
60F

There were flies today and I hear peepers. Doesn't take long.

EPS starting to sniff out something in that GFS period, we not done yet

Super cold front passage Wednesday evening could be violent and damaging

GFS almost pulls off a Daffodil crusher at 300+ hrs
It fits the winter pattern..

The melting continued deep into the night have to call my snow cover days ended yesterday at 10 with 50% patchy left today.
-
2.5" depth not much sun angle time left today almost there
-
Plus 2009 measured I think 29.5" and was real unhappy about that lol
Although that was like an 8F absurdly colder winter.

I sit just 5.5" behind Syracuse, NY on the season., seven miles up the road in lower Macungie they are around tied. Random chance was in my favor but is it too much to ask for 1" more to reach 30?
-
Appears only .25" rain coming and with a cold day Saturday think I can keep snow on the ground into Sunday.
11-12 days of cover for a +6F month

Pretty Lucky with your death band the models did all they could to find the needle in the haystack! That event though has got to be your most memorable event over the past few years. I will say it was fun tracking that until 3 am and then hearing the results as I looked at bare grounds until 1 am.
Best event since the MECS in 2021 and before that January 2016 not much to say for the last nine winters

Not sure it is much better there either they are way below normal snowfall and way above normal temps too and are adjacent to another warm body of water Lake Erie.
I probably have as much snow as Bradford that's ridiculous
Will not happen again

Yeah I forgot about the Noah's Ark rains and Neptune like dark cloudy days, probably should reconsider the winter grade.

Thinking of a move up near Bradford to stay ahead of global torching

It never really started so no big deal/loss...basically 2 weeks of cold (if?) and a couple minor/mod events. The rest of winter felt like Fall.
Grade C-
42F
Far too generous. Did nothing Dec-holidays-mid January, and it's a top 5 warmest winter.
C+ Here only because of normal snow, crazy deathband, 2 high end SECS in a week, 5" snow in an hour and a real 1" squall with warning.
Oh yeah a decent maybe 10 days of snow cover in February.
February snow came in sun angle season with non impressive cold deduct a few points.

7.5" average depth but it's very dense now and resistant to melting. Will be interesting to see how long I can hold ground cover.

Erie is the biggest red flag on the list indicating the lack of cold air flow from Canada.

29" total for the season

Weeklies get us into a favorable look 3/12 onward but they seem to be defaulting to that look a lot so hard to have any hope especially at that date. Who knows
.A cold spring sounds super
