After last December's snowless blowtorch I will take anything

I love the Xmas blowtorches.   Guarantees that I don't have to work pushing snow and be home with family.  Also it's awesome seeing neighborhood kids on Xmas riding their new bikes and playing outside with their new toys in short sleeves

One of the benefits of playing at course that has a state road running through it is that noise doesn't really impact me.

That stuff dosent bother me either.  The stupid stuff from other golfers do

  3. Played maybe the last 2 rounds this weekend.  What a flip flop.   103 Saturday and 88 sunday .   Didn't help I was a single Saturday,  paired with 2 knuckleheads.  I dont care they sucked, but they were slow,  loud, talk in backswings etc...I was on full tilt by hole #3, annoyed as hell. Totally blew my game up.   Sunday was with my friend and another random member who I played with earlier in year who is awesome to play with, much more relaxed

i have been enjoying wearing a winter coat  after a brief warmup will enjoy continuing to wear on for the foreseeable future..

Winter coat?  Come on hasn't been that cold at all yet.  What the hell do you wear when it's below 30

Don’t hope for a torch in November / Dec, man. It’s fine to prefer the warmer weather, I totally get it. But the direction our climate is heading, it’ll be torching quite enough at all times of the year.

Try to enjoy and appreciate seasonal cool to cold for what it is when we can get it, I wouldn’t be making this comment if it were still October.

Preferences aside, it’s very clear how much easier it is to torch around here than to go BN so you’ll very likely get your wish at one point or another.

Conversely I feel like I’m straight praying every year to see proper snow that sticks and lasts for more than 48 hours.

I actually wouldn't mind 45-50 for highs in December, can still golf

What about photography? ....great winter scenes!

Boring.  Rarely take any pictures. I live for the moment.   I was recently golfing at Port Royal, Bermuda.  Amazing scenery.   I didn't take one picture.  My wife took them

I actually prefer going to the beach during the fall and winter. Far less crowded.  I know people who golf during the winter...well provided there isn't snow on the ground and that has become more common.

What about hiking and biking? Both are great in the winter.

Ive done enough hiking in the winter with citidiots  needing rescue off the mountain here.  Not my cup of tea.   Biking, goes back to I hate wearing layers, wouldn't mind doing it in warm months.   I've golfed in 40s, but courses close down when there's frost.

People who often go outside during the winter do not feel the cold nearly as much as people who stay inside during the winter.

There's not much to do outside in the cold, unless you're a skier, have a snow mobile, or go for a walk.   All my outdoor activities include, playing ball, golf, beach, just chilling in the sun, swimming, fishing (ice fishing sucks)

I rarely wear layers.  20 degrees I'm still in a hoodie.  I wear gym shorts almost everywhere, to go shopping, out to eat, bar etc...

I respectfully disagree---can we have today's weather every day until May?  Then transition to summer?

This, I'll much rather be outside doing activities than looking out the window

  10. Beautiful day to golf today.  Sun and warm.  Unfortunately last few timed playing my game hasn't been all sunshine.  Driving the the ball the best ever, irons doing pretty good, just anything lately from 115yards and in around the green has been killing me.  It was great all summer now it's brutal.  That's golf I guess

  11. My Facebook post from 10 years ago. .   I started full time at my job the day of landfall.   Worked through the night cutting trees out of the roadways while hearing more crashing down.  Our shop got a couple feet of water from the storm surge from the Hudson River
