I do remember the HRRR being overzealous with lake contribution in some previous setups.  But even cutting it down would result in isolated 12"+ amounts near the lake.

I remember HRRR being pretty good for that one. Had 19 IMBY and ended at 18.6

I'm not saying crazy high ratios, but I think something like 12:1 is doable closer to the lake.  Lower to start and higher toward the end.

NAM 4K has temps at 29 vs 33 @60hrs on regular NAM if that means anything to you

Not even a flurry now—I knew there’d be some tight gradients across Cook and possibly within the city, but damn. Birds have even started chirping outside of my office because they think the coast is clear now

I have a few flurries here at Western and Devon, but a mile north of me the band is absolutely ripping. It seems to be tipping south every so slightly.

Chicago getting a taste of a real lake effect storm today. Such a sick band! You guys are going to be addicted to it now like I am. ^_^

I'm from the suburbs, usually LES only adds an inch or two. My first winter living in the city and this will be the first time i'm seeing a legit lake effect snow storm and i'm HYPE for it. I've always wanted to go to upstate new york and sit through a 30+inch snow storm just to see how you guys deal with it!
