I’m now around 30 hours without power. This has been absurdly mismanaged by ONCOR seeing as their “rolling outages” haven’t been rolling at all.
Ugh sorry msn. Hope you get it back soon

EURO has us in the 60s and 70s next week. Wow. Weather is never boring. Sometimes it is disappointing because we miss out on the big snows but it is such a fascinating thing.
This. I love the variety of the great plains climate. While the winter storms do tend to be better back east. The variety over the course of the year has appealed a lot more to me.

Just focusing on central Oklahoma the 00z models were very nice and have all come in with higher snow totals and a longer duration, lingering light snow well into Wednesday afternoon.
OKC looks to be in a great spot to pick up the desert with this. Fun few days. Today was a nice surprise here. Ended up with 2.5 inches of pure sand. Never got above 0 in KC.

Caved for your area? It still looks decent for Oklahoma and Kansas.
That little feature that drives north may have some surprises. Especially down your way. Almost looks like a small piece sort of cuts off from the flow and drifts north.

Congrats!

Picked up around 3 today and still snowing moderately
Great over performer here. That comma head is all cold smoke. The Kutchie maps are going to be solid maybe even a bit underdone in this area.

New NAM 12km model rolling in...system looks to be a little stronger but neutral to a slight positive tilt. Higher totals for S KS.
Regular Nam looks great for your area. I'm interested as the NAM was the only one with the comma up here today. Looks like it maybe onto one last hurrah with it tomorrow night.

Ok for now, +SN -5F, we got an overperformer today
For sure. Looks like the comma head may even try to pivot through. Especially out your way. Nice little surprise.

Snowing pretty good up here. Over an inch so far. Hearing a transformer knocked out over 2k in Clay Co. So far so good here with power.

Man, most 00z models really missed on this fairly significant amount of wrap around snow in KS/MO/OK, im not exactly sure how much it'll amount to as far as accumulation, but this band is quite large and really nothing besides yesterday's 12z NAM had picked up on this (the 18z/00z backed off). Current hi-res models appear to be doing anywhere from modest to very poor in handling it. Hi-res models generally stink with snow, sometimes they can sniff out subtle things before globals but ouch.
Light steady snow here. About a half inch down likely going to pull 1 to 1.5 out of it. Nice snow growth a times so ratios most be decent. Nice surprise up here.

Congrats down there. Glad you finally cashed in. About 1 inch here but had hours of snow. No complaints

Nice banding coming into SW MO and the Springfield area.

-4 and light snow here. Beautiful powdered sugar scene out there. Coldest temp I've seen snow falling.

Other than missing my Mom and a few close friends, dont really miss that place much. Yea where I grew up but not much about it I miss lol. Nice, we use to go to High Point state park a lot in my youth and hike the AT trail up that way.
Same. I much prefer the mid-west as well.

Missouri, over in Humansville there(what a name lol). I did grow up in Jersey, extreme south jersey close to the coast.
Lot of heartbreakers down that part of state. I’m a north Jersey guy originally. Near Morristown west of NYC.
Light snow here now -2.

Snow approaching for the SW. Looks close for the metro but on the current trajectory looks like some banding is going to get back to about Weston/ St Joe which is right in line with how most modeling had it. the SE burbs are looking pretty good.

The entire south side of Okc is without water. The water plant that serves this area went down the the City can not give a time when it would be back up.
Sorry to hear that. Hope they can get it back kicking soon.

Sun poking out here lol.
