  1. Racism is obviously still an issue in our society but I don’t know…it feels like Flores is just lashing out here. This isn’t the way to get back into the coaching ranks. Who’s going to want to deal with him now? Maybe his camp is hoping to get a nice settlement from the NFL.

True or not, the timing is awful for the league. Everyone is looking forward to the Super Bowl, now this bombshell drops. It’s going to dominate the conversation in sports media and the mainstream media in general. You think Goodell will get a few questions about this during the State of the League address next week?

  2. A narrative about the Chiefs being underachievers might begin to take shape here. Four consecutive AFC championship games, only one Super Bowl title to show for it. Credit to the Bengals for hanging in there but that’s a terrible loss for Kansas City.  They should have  more opportunities with Mahomes being so young but there are no guarantees. Russell Wilson and the Seahawks reached back to back Super Bowls and then never returned. A lot has to go right to reach the summit. Plus, the  competition in the AFC is only getting stiffer. Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson, Derek Carr to a lesser extent. These guys will be around for awhile and will only get better.

Yep...school has been a nightmare! This year has been far more frustrating to teach than last year. It's ridiculous. How are students supposed to learn and teachers teach when every day we have different students leaving and maybe one or two returning and then leaving again....it's such chaos. If there was a year out of the 3 school seasons to close down the schools and do virtual...this would be it.

Yeah, I’m starting to wonder if it’s better to just bite the bullet and go back to virtual until more kids can get vaccinated. I know they’re hoping to make children ages 5-11 eligible by November but it’s going to take awhile to roll it out en masse.

My wife has been incredibly sick for the past 6 days.  Tested negative for Covid and Strep.  Not sure what it is, but its kicking her ass bad right now.  Scary time to be so sick with everything going on.

I talked to a client at work who has a bad sinus infection right now. Covid has been ruled out several times. Hopefully other maladies aren’t too prevalent this year along with Covid.

If there is one thing I have learned in my time, it is that the vast majority of people are selfish hypocrites.  Doesn’t matter “which side” of politics they claim to support.

Case in point:  We are working on a long dead end private gravel road on a lake.  Nearly everyone is very wealthy.  One place near the middle of the road has BLM and rainbow flags flying out front.  White seemingly “traditional” family unit.  Property owners along the road pay into a common fund to maintain the shared private road. They buy a load or two of crusher run periodically and a few owners take turns with their compact tractors improving the road.  Everyone contributes annually except the guy with the “inclusive” flags out front who has never contributed.  Funny how that works.

Not surprised. It’s easy to fly flags, put bumper stickers on your car and signs on your lawn. Anybody can do that. Your real character shows through your actions and how you actually treat others.

So we won the lawsuit for the fence but the business failed to pay me. It’s an LLC so not sure what we can do…they probably dissolved the business and created a new one.

Currently downtown at county court office issuing subpoenas to every bank in western New York. I’m learning so much about the law during this process. I still have it on my resume that I won in court, I should totally go to law school. I destroyed the guy in court.

Glad it went well for you. These businesses can be very slippery with dissolving or closing under one name and then reopening under another. Missed the first part of the story. Curious as to what happened with your fence.

I know its Breitbart, but oh my...the mental gymnastics needed to make this argument.  It's 12D chess man...  Now its the left's fault that the right won't get vaccinated.  Good grief.

    https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2021/09/10/nolte-howard-stern-proves-democrats-want-unvaccinated-trump-voters-dead/

These same people will claim that our elections are rigged…so in that case, why would they need to kill off Republican voters? The fix is in anyway, right?

I don’t know; I think everyone is losing it. I remember when some Democrats said they wouldn’t take the vaccine as long as Trump was President, then they did a 180. Why does everything need to be about politics? It’s so absurd. I lean Republican but I got vaccinated because my mom losing two coworkers and getting COVID herself alarmed me. If not for vaccines, we’d still be dealing with polio.

@wolfie09What happened to your giants last night?

Not wolfie but that was the quintessential Giants loss that we’ve seen countless times since the last Super Bowl. Defense can’t make a stop when they need one. No pass rush. They made another journeyman quarterback look like a league MVP. It’s a shame because Jones actually played really well but bad teams find a way to lose. Hate to say it but I think Barkley is shot too.

  9. Got my second Pfizer dose yesterday. Quick and easy once again. I slept well last night. Definitely feeling a bit of general soreness today but nothing unbearable and I’m already about 24 hours past the injection time. It’s akin to how I might feel after a tough workout. Making sure to guzzle water and even some Gatorade. Have to say, this could have been a lot worse and I definitely feel relieved.

I feel like this post is far more accurate if we were discussing the previous administration.  It’s like a bizarro world.  Trump trashed the economy and sent the deficit to the moon with his horrible corporate tax cuts.  He idolized Putin and Kim Jong, making us look incredible weak.   Biden isn’t wonderful but to turn a blind eye to how we got here is ridiculous. If you think the country is ****ed it didn’t magically happen in 8 months, look back a little further.

You don’t have to be the origin of a problem in order to contribute to it. Trump clearly had his issues but that doesn’t excuse the horror show that is Biden/Harris. I’m sorry, this administration just doesn’t have the chops. I have higher standards for voting for someone other than simply saying “He’s not Trump”. When you say or think it can’t get worse, it often does and in a big way. The bottom line is that most people in DC have failed us and that goes for both sides of the aisle. We’re basically arguing over who sucks less at this point. They can all take a hike as far as I’m concerned.

Ok, that was cathartic. Rant over.

Downtown Millburn is completely underwater and every downtown business is damaged/destroyed

These small businesses barely survived Covid. This is another devastating blow for them. Hoping  they were properly insured at least.
