Same. Doubt there's more than an inch blowing around out there.

Found the deepest "drift" in my yard...4 inches. Surrounded by maybe a half inch with grass sticking out. Winds never got over 35 here. This might be the biggest disappointment I've had out of all the SEMI busts.

Just enough to turn the roads to garbage and not even enough for a real white Christmas.

Nothing could go wrong that Winter lol (not thst there werent, amazingly, the usual complainers). We had a long duration 11" snowstorm December 31st to January 2nd, then a short duration 11" snowstorm January 5/6th. And it was only the beginning.

The entire winter 2013-2014 was incredible. If I recall correctly we didn't have a high above freezing from late January through April. I had snow cover in my yard from New Year's through the last week of April and some of the parking lots had snowpiles until the end of May.

The UKMET track swinging it south and probably back around to Florida is interesting, in a slapstick "Coyote getting repeatedly hit by boulders while chasing Roadrunner" kind of way.

A cursory glance through historical track records seems to indicate that has never occurred, so it seems unlikely. Hopefully it follows the set of tracks that show it landfalling and then shooting into the Atlantic.

Eyewall trying to somewhat come back, Ian will not die.

Just based on how stubborn this storm is, I fully expect Ian to crawl up to a low-end Cat 2 before it makes landfall again.

Or maybe just start doing donuts around Florida.

We had freezing drizzle for a while and now it's been sleeting for about an hour. This was totally expected however. Should change over to snow hopefully in an hour or so

I've been getting steady snow for almost an hour now, but it's mostly tiny flakes with some snowglobe snow mixed in.

  6. I picked up another half inch or so today, perfect sledding topper. I'm around 4.5-5 total in my yard for both days. When I cleared my driveway there was about a quarter inch layer of snow so compacted that it basically welded itself to my driveway.

Man what could've been with the front end foot, then another foot from the main show. Dtw found a way to miss out on both. Gonna sting for awhile. Msp seen an 8+ storm, chicago, cleveland, buffalo, des moines, fort wayne, east coast, mid atlantic, nashville. Dtw all left on its own.

I'm watching the snow blow off my roof and pretending it's a blizzard out.

So somehow, down river scored a couple more inches than here? I swear, Canton-Plymouth-Livonia's the new Macomb with every compass direction out-scoring me. Can we just move onto spring already. This is a mega-annoying place to be this winter.

There is only one Macomb, says the guy with 4 inches of cement and nary more than a rumble of thunder in 11 years.

I hear lots of people's are clogging. That damn warm nose screwed us with ungodly low ratios. The heavy wet snow fell all day at quarter to half mile visibility and we struggled, now this evening it's stacking much faster. Glad we are fluffing up some tonight.

I have a two stage EGO electric that is torquey as hell. I imagine it's going to chew through this stuff like butter, but if my snowblowing experience follows the pattern this storm has set the blower will probably burst into flames as soon as I turn it on.

At least we're making a nice evening run of a snowy blowing night. The concrete blanket of snow that fell earlier is no joke.  I hope my snowblower doesn't clog because it's a heart attack waiting to happen. I can honestly say I've never walked in more dense snow. An hour ago near 5", maybe closing in on 6" now. The first 3.5" or so were less than 5-1 ratio.

I am looking forward to testing my new electric snowblower with this trash.

U aint lyin brutha. Current cloudy at my house. Not home but id guess only a couple inches has fallen if that based on porch cam. Looks like dry air eating away at the precip on the NE flank. Real bummer considering what could've been. Definitly ready for summer.

I fired up the grill and am cooking bratwurst outside with no coat, got maybe 4.5 out in the yard and I'm staying bone dry on the deck. Bust.

You guys got burned by a slow changeover.

It was snowing here at 2am!

Deepest part of my yard, 3". Most of the yard is a good inch lower.

When the temperature drops and all this freezes up it's going to be a nightmare. I might be able to go pick up my entire yard as one sheet.
