Really getting worried about this southern trend. A few more jogs south and the northern mountains totals really go down. The press of the cold, dry air is really pushing the heavier precip south. 

Amazing 12z nam run for everyone, but really getting concerned with the south trend for us northern folks.

Much less precip for WNC. Looked juicy at 84 and then went to nothing

This is crazy. I keep on thinking these totals are going to start to be cut down and they do the opposite. Over 3' in spots of the mountains. Widespread 2'+ in all of the mountains.

A little concerned about too much suppression for those of us in the northern mountains. Trends are definitely in the favor of SW NC imo.

Snow just keeps on coming down. Probably over an inch now and sitting at 18 degrees. 

Coming down pretty good here in boone. Let's hope this can continue throughout the night

Yeah that is laughable. Still think 1-3 is definitely possible. 

3k and nam look even better at 18z than 12z.

Looks like snow has started up at Beech and started to accumulate nicely.

Having a few flakes reach the ground here just west of Boone. 

Really surprised at the inactivity on here today. Nam and 3k nam look great above 3,000 feet.

How does the HRRR usually handle these situations? Do the soundings support the snow output shown on the maps?

Awesome thanks, I'll take that look. Even with the latest trends though, I'm not sold on temperatures cooperating for even us in the mountains.
