  1. After my sunset hike in Valley Forge, I set my alarm for 3:30am and shot over to Harvey Cedars in LBI to catch the snowy sunrise and whatever leftover swell was still in the water.  I knew it'd be worth it.

Here's some pics I took on my cell, haven't uploaded the pics from my DSLR yet.

Waist deep drifts and waist-chest high sets.

  2. Think I'm gonna go for a hike at Mt. Joy in Valley Forge.  I'm feeling pretty good today and looking at the visible satellite imagery and current observations, I think there's a chance for a good sunset with the higher altitude clouds sticking around and it being relatively clear to the west.  That is, as long as this thing doesn't jet off in the next 2 hours!

Also, if you want to share images:

Create and account on imgur.com, upload as hidden, then once uploaded press and hold image (or right click) and copy the image's direct URL.  When pasted into the text field on amwx, it will automatically embed.  Therefore, no worrying about file size or removing past images.

9th st looking dreamy right now.

    Edit:

Starting to clean up in Strathmere too, looks like you could get a drift session in down to the south side of sea isle in an hour flat!!  I imagine LBI will get good before sundown.

Edit 2: good LBI cam, already firing: https://thesurfersview.com/live-cams/new-jersey/beach-haven-lbi-beach-cam-and-surf-report/

Edit 3: Here's a still from the Beach Haven cam.  Not very big but pretty consistent griding lefthand tubes. Goofy Footers dream.

Wind driven snow, approaching moderate, at Hard Rock casino in Atlantic City….impressive start here.

Man you picked a great spot to chase. Hit the casinos and walk out on the boardwalk to experience blizzard conditions. Sounds like a great time. Hope you have a good time!

Should be some nice lefts breaking off the jetty if you walk down to crystals tomorrow (the beach where the boards meat the inlet just past the Ocean casino)  Might see some brave souls out!  It faces east enough to pickup any east swell getting kicked up overnight as the low passes and it is protected from any NE-NW winds.

Go into your profile attachments. Think the max is 40MB total....empty it out for more room/space to attach more files.

Better yet, use www.imgur.com to host your images.  I upload them as hidden/private and then copy the direct image link into the comment field on the forum and it automatically inserts it onto the forum page.

No need to worry about file sizes or deleting images from past posts that you may still want to keep up for posertity's sake.

My old stomping grounds in my 20s, rented a place up 2nd avenue off Main Street. Use to hit Toms bar for happy hour occasionally on my way home from work. Is that place still there/open?

    31F / Light snow

Nice I'm right next to the police station!  It's looking like it'll be my stomping grounds through my 20s too, at least for the next year or so.  Took months to find a decent spot that was affordable within 20 mins of KOP.

Tom's is still open but I haven't gone in since I haven't been drinking because I've been dealing with really bad low back pain/sciatica due to stenosis this year and I'm trying to keep the inflammation down.  Last fall my plan was to have moved north or west by this winter to snowboard all the time but now that looks like a pipedream.  Hoping for some progress with my health so I can get back to pow chasing.  Literally one of my biggest passions so its frustrating not being able to enjoy it at such a young age.

Got probably 4 inches here but haven't gone outside since I have covid!  My car is the only one in the lot with snow still on it haha.

  7. Here's 2 images I took that show warehouses under various stage of construction.  Definitely gives context as to why they are such a dangerous place to be in a tornado.

Large concrete slabs less than a foot thick standing upright and supported at their top by steel beams.  A thin roof is then attached.  No safe space to go on the floor of a warehouse.

  8. Lots of lightning in Coatesville.  Drove from Exton to Coatesville as the storm rolled in and was able to get a nice peep of the sun out of the backside  with a nice orange glow lighting up the horizon.  Still lightning consistently overhead.

This pic is from before I went into the store in Exton around 6:45pm.  Looking WNW.
