    2013. Started as heavy rain then flipped to snow around dusk

    I’m not buying the warmup many weather/news outlets are projecting. I can see some sleet on the back end. But News12 just projected a map where it has temps going into the 30s Sunday evening for all of LI and NYC. Really just don’t see that happening but what do I know, I’m an amateur at this

    Eh it’s pretty rare LI especially Suffolk gets less than nyc. Banding usually sets up in Suffolk

    It’s wishful thinking but hoping with the right trend and storm maybe I can break my 28” storm record Sunday which occurred February 2013

    It seems like most members on here aren’t too concerned about suppression where as all the weather discussions I’ve read many at concerned. What’s everyone’s reasoning?

    I’m sure we’ll go north then south and by Thursday everyone will throw in the towel and by Friday night we’re back to our wishful solution

    Models overdo ZR and ice all the time but it’s definitely going to be substantial

    I may the be the minority here but I’m over 3-6” events. honestly just a nuisance at this point. They’re cool early in the season. Maybe im Just being greedy

    Point and click for my area. When was the last time we saw snow with temps in single digits on LI? Usually it’s just a cold dry air mass.
