This incorrect analysis cannot go unchallenged in a climate site. Global warming began with the industrial revolution in the late 1800s, and really exploded during WWII, as a direct result of human activity. While it is true the earth has a natural cycle, but what we are currently seeing isnt “cyclical”. Temperatures over the past 100+ years have zero statistical correlation with this cycle. This is directly because of man burning oil. We have statistically proven this, hundreds of times over. Right now, glaciers are melting. Go to South Florida, where on any given bright sunny day, the ocean literally washes ashore (king tides) *several miles inland*. South Florida will be uninhabitable in my lifetime due to rising oceans. This isnt fear mongering. This is facing reality. People denying this are actively harming our society. -

I mean, only a complete blithering idiot wouldnt. Worse than flat earthers, those climate change deniers. At least flat earthers have the good sense to keep that crap to themselves. -
Major Hurricane Melissa - 892mb - 185mph Jamaica landfall

Is Melissa causing the current rip tide off the SE US coast from the other side of Cuba? Or is that due to other environmental factors and just a coincidence? -

I am fairly confident in saying anyone covering the ground in Jamaica will not be able to find travel accommodations in order to get to Cuba in time. -

This is simply not true. Michael was strengthening right up until landfall and got to cat 5 as it was making landfall (160mph). Andrew in 1992 did the same. -

60 mile wide path* -
IMO there are too many people writing off this thing closing off the eyewall and restrengthening a bit before landfall.

Irma’s wind field expanded the same way when it went over the everglades. Is this due to initial land interactions being massive wetlands?

It is even possible for a high end TS to have that high of a pressure? 1013mb is sea level atmospheric.
