Flooding on local roads and streams. Temporary lull in the action after an all day rain. Guess we had to make up for that rain free stretch.

Isn't the super moon tonight? It's visible but blurred.

Just ticked above freezing for the first time during this long duration event. Currently 32.8 with about a quarter-inch of ice on trees and a little over an inch of snow on the ground.
We still have heavy ice on our trees too. What are the temps expected to do tonight? Really hoping to avoid any additional ice build up as this has turned into a dangerous situation for some.

Best their offense has looked in a long time. Much better stick handling and energy too. And they’re shooting the puck!

Mostly a lurker for the last 3 years. A quick (BIG) thank you to all of the regular and knowledgeable posters here (you know who you are). I have learned so much from you all and have become somewhat addicted to this page.
On another note, here's a question that I've been wondering about for some time now.
With the record (and continued) rainfall of 2018, what is it going to take to get the pattern back to something closer to our average precipitation? This may be a complicated answer but I'm all ears and willing to learn.
Thanks for your expertise and input. Greatly appreciated.

It's a mess between Thurmont and Emmitsburg. My dad just came up that way said people were sliding all over.
Sleet/Ice beginning to accumulate on the roads between Leesburg and the Potomac bridge.

Respectively disagree. 1-2 " of qpf will fall ( that's a lot of liquid laying )and Sunday morning at 5-6 am moisture is still in the area ( rain /mix tbd) then the bottom falls out between 8 - 11 am from most guidance NW to SE . That leaves very little time for drying imo. I think this artic front ..could ..catch up with residual moisture and give some areas a back end brief change back to frozen .
Pretty exciting setup with this storm imo. I wish I wasn't working tomorrow morning. It will be a great nowcast up this way
Are the models still forecasting 1-2" of QPF?
