I just watched ABC-27 Eric Finkenbinder’s forecast from this Evening & he said they are thinking around 6 inches of snow at this time, but need to monitor the next few days.
I’m not staying up for the 0z runs tonight. I’m going to wake up in the morning and just look at Amwx subs to see how many (or not) pages have been added prior to looking at the runs early tomorrow AM. I’ll know if it’s good or bad off that alone.

If that pattern comes to fruition and we don’t get snow between 15-end of month then I give up lol.

I have to travel Saturday so I have other interests I am watching as well. This has gone from an overnight thing to at least half it it during the day here.
I have an MRI scheduled in York at 7am. 24 hours ago I wasn't even concerned about the start time, now I am hoping to be back in Hanover sippin whiskey before the first flakes fall...

If you asked me for an early forecast TODAY, I'd say 4-8" storm for most. Best case would be 6-10". Subject to change as we get closer obviously.
My PTSD is starting to kick in.
I just need to stay away from the MA Forum.

The CMC has done really well with extreme low temps but agree that otherwise it usually caves. There is also the issue (faced here yesterday) were some people take model reading as a forecast when others know it is just a discussion of the current prog. Someone on here said WGAL is sounding the sirens this AM, I did not hear it, but that will get the public humming and set up the need for results or more PTSD will ensue.
WGAL certainly mentioned potential significant snowfall this morning.

I figured the mean would not be different. Not ideal if the Euro starts trending away from its previous consistent solution.
6z Euro looked a lot more like the CMC. Its been a while IIRC since the CMC scored a coup...
Personally I think a lot of the added hysteria (not that there isn't any normally) is due to the bad streak of winters, dating back to 2016 and prior. I think we all have a little PTSD when it comes to that.

Still quite a few with a decent snow here...
Agreed. I am curious to how the 12z runs pan out.

I scanned over the posts and saw the Euro moved more toward a Canadian like solution after having been so consistent the last few days. Cannot see all the maps but guessing we are still decent here though hopefully not a trend.

A thread has been opened on the MA board so we will know more at 12Z. Quite often, if it is to fail, it will happen now.
The thread was started and then the 6z EPS came out.
There are a few posters in there that are going to have their panic room full of weenies prior to the 12z suite...

High temp of 41, currently 39 under overcast skies.

Well if there wasn't more than a little Ji in us we wouldn't be here 300 hours before game time
We are all hunting... Some complain about the back end prior to the first flake falling.
I get it though, its all in the back of our minds...

@Ji are you finally happy … for 6 hours at least?
Nah, because he can see the back end coming from the Ozarks.

Hey smartass, I wasn't trying to get you on a "gotcha" moment like some asshole. I misread.

I’m not being a smartass. But I certainly thought you were. Whitetail is like 50-60 miles east of me.

What is also impressive (segue) is what Whitetails power bill must be despite not hosting paying skiers. They have had their main slope lights on every night for weeks.
LOL.
Liberty has not turned the lights on yet.

You can see Whitetail from Hanover? That's impressive. I've been to Whitetail. I didn't think it was large enough to be seen from that far away.

He mentioned Liberty in the same sentence. Nice try.

I know at Whitetail a lot of trails face South because I can see them from my house on a clear day. I feel like the Liberty ones face more West or Northwest but trying to gauge though off driving up there.
They have some that face east as well that are on the “backside” of the Mtn. I can see those slopes from my house in Hanover and they are starting to whiten up nicely.
