  1. Something under 240 for a lot of the board on the GFS. There have been several runs hinting at something in this timeframe. Interested to see what ECMWF thinks.
  2. GSP's preliminary snowfall map is up as well now.
  3. Around 2 - 2.5" in Pendleton/Central area. Glad we broke a dry spell and happy for my fellow SC/GA peeps. Props to Burrel for the early call. 3K NAM did well again, HRRR not so much. Hope NC folks get one before the season is out.
  4. So true, I feel the pain in Pendleton. I'm not sure if location in regards to the mountains and blocking a cold air source is more the cause or the manmade lakes warming the Upper Savannah River Valley a crucial degree or two. Would be interested to see if one could decouple other variables and see if the manmade lakes have caused a drop in snowfall since their creation. May not have anything to do with it, just a thought. 5. Meh, it was the usual in the Western Upstate. Warm nose reared its ugly head. Glad to hear some others got snow though, especially RDU. 0.5-1 inch at best in Pendleton, mostly sleet. Need to learn to listen to the NAM's better resolution, FV3 Kuchera ratio betrayed me. NAM also outperformed the HRRR, which is odd because the HRRR should have a better grasp on thermals, and especially considering that it is funded a lot higher than the NAM for R&D. 6. Heavier returns have pulled me back to sleet in Pendleton, was snow. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  7. Seemingly snowing all around but not us in Pendleton, hopefully Burrel's upstream obs move us to snow! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  8. Went and ate in TR with family downtown, ripping snow was quite awesome. Was accumulating on the roads, covering everything in white. Got back to Furman and it was back to raining. Drove home to Pendleton back roads and even in Dacusville no snow, just sleet. Taking a while for that snow line to move south in the Upstate. 36 here in Pendleton, maybe some sleet starting to mix in now. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  9. Just returned from Paris Mountain, mixing in solidly now. 34 with a trace of sleet/snow. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  10. At 96, SW move now underway, but much closer to shore and 20-30 mb weaker. Touching coast at Little River/Calabash at 96. Stalling closer to shore weakened the storm significantly this run, but probably means SE NC paid the price in storm surge if this verified.
  11. Take it for what it's worth, but 00z GFS is 8 mb lower at hr 48 compared to 18z, shows 927 mb E of Cape Fear and S of Cape Lookout. Edit: Can't read on phone, was only 927 mb, not 923 mb.
  12. It makes it awkward for the Governor, as the evacuation orders were rescinded South of Edisto Beach earlier today.
