If this even happens close to what’s modeled (which is still all over the map), does the extreme temp contrast portend great lift and dynamical cooling that would move the 32F line seaward?

Looks like it would have to be sleet or ice over here. 2 feet of snow 25 miles away from rain with a lot of low level cold seems unlikely

If there’s a major sleet storm, one could imagine a major ice storm on its fringes. Better rain than an inch of ice.

Though you may not think it, I feel just fine. On the other hand, a lotta people doing a lotta hoping against hope and posting clown maps and staying up late to comment on obvious whiffs and all of that. I’m not doing any of those things because I really don’t expect much of anything from this winter. It would be nice, and of course there’s always a faint background hope (otherwise I wouldn’t be here) but I don’t. But, I get your point. I get it.
