  1. Would be lovely for us southern folks to cash in one more time!
  2. NHK is a big problem in the spring as well when we have a SE wind. Until the water warms up the temp on base can be significantly lower than even just off the base. Similar situation to DCA when they get a south wind.
  3. Thanks. Yes KNHK is less than 10 miles from me so that would be best for me. But I have seen many times where the base is a few degrees warmer than me in Hollywood in scenarios like this.
  4. Are any of the models giving southern md/eastern shore any front end thump tomorrow? Can't decipher from the main storm thread and haven't looked at any models...
  5. You know its been a cold winter when the bay is at least 70% frozen all the way down to Cove Point?!?! Did this occur last year? If not when was the last time? Amazing since the bay is so wide from Chesapeake Beach down to Calvert Cliffs.
  6. Will enjoy the rare occasion we are in the bullseye! 7. Not very often where the area this sub-forum covers jackpots. Anxious to see how it all plays out. Looking forward to obs tomorrow and Tuesday!
  8. All of us in this sub-forum should be feeling really good about the trends for Mon night-Tuesday.
  9. Looking pretty good. I like where we sit but lots of time to get screwed.
  10. Yes you guys included as well Too bad we are still 5 days out but trends are in our favor for once it seems.
  11. I say we lock up the latest Euro run and throw away the keys? Great for all of SO MD and lower E Shore.
  12. We are in the in the same boat over here in St. Mary's. Though we can say we've doubled your total
  13. Roads were just wet in St. Mary's county this morning. Was dark when I came in but did notice trees coated in ice.
  14. Models look to be trending more favorable for SOMD for the Superbowl event. I think we'd all be happy with a 6"+ cold powder event. Hope you guys on the lower Eastern Shore get in on it too. Will be interesting to see where the mix line sets up with this one.
  15. Schools were originally 2 hr delay at 5am and I feel that was a good decision. After driving to base and seeing the road conditions, I was shocked to hear they changed to close.
  16. That's about what we got here in Hollywood. Maybe 3/4 of a dusting lol. It was enough for St. Mary's to close schools. 235 and secondary roads were just wet around 6:30. Neighborhood street partially covered.
  17. LWX still going with 2-4 for Calvert and St. Mary's. I'd be pretty happy with that all things considered with this storm.
  18. I feel a bust coming. WSW that will almost surely be changed to an advisory tomorrow for 1-2. Hope I'm wrong though. As has been discussed at great length, Miller B's almost always screw us. Only thing we have in our favor is how close we will be to the wrap around being on the west side of the bay. All depends on how far south and how close to the coast the coastal forms.
  19. Sure. More the merrier. Us folk near the bay(western and eastern shore) seem to experience much different weather than near DC and its always fun do to discuss what we are seeing. Would be cool to get more posters down here.
