temps have leveled off here - 16F at DCA, 18F here.

it's cool that the entire forum has this glacier and the deep cold is keeping it as is. No one got the shaft. Good for forum morale imo.

Picked up my wife and younger daughter at DCA earlier - the Potomac is completely frozen over. 16F there at 7pm, warmer here in Tenleytown (19F). Seems likely they'll get into the single digits tonight

my daughter's friend broke her wrist on Monday - you almost need those old-timey sleds with metal rails

12.4F here, 13F at DCA. Could hit single digits overnight.

my memories are of the 94 and 96 blasts (I was in late elementary school) - in the Shen Valley we got down to -10 to -15 during both of those events.

frozen river I think having an impact on DCA. They are topping out around 20F.
