weatherwiz Posted June 27, 2016 Share Posted June 27, 2016 I came across this link which discusses some of the recent changes with regards to the ONI and I had always though the trimonthly calculations involved a good amount of math. But it looks like the ONI is just calculated by taking the average SST of 3.4 and then subtracting that from the climate adjusted SST.
