Man this feels like perhaps the longest lead in to any potential winter weather that i can remember. If for some reason we don't score well during the favorable period or if it starts to fall apart on the models then holy yikes is there going to be some broken souls in here. I bet the board loses several posters forever if that happens I can think of 5 that i'm hoping for

I’m beyond die hard. I haven’t been this happy since Ron Jeremy put out his first film. Between our prospects and the money the new ownership group will spend we should be good for a long time to come. I’m so looking forward to this upcoming season and the future ones. Finally 40 years of misery should be over.
he really showed his acting chops in "One flew over the Milf's Nest"

I am not making the argument that last week wasn't good and that people shouldn't have enjoyed it. I enjoyed it, and made tons of positives posts on it. Go back and look. I was nothing but positive.
I am simply saying that there is nothing wrong with being frustrated with going back to a blow torch pattern right after; A shut the blinds pattern, and people trying to claim we are now in fact "spoiled" and we should "know our climo" when in fact we are well below average.
I guess what I am saying in, the people who COMPLAIN ABOUT THE COMPLAINERS are actually far worse than the complainers themselves.
Also- this is the panic room. Find me one, just one post this year where I complained in the model thread. It doesn't exist.
I feel ya Rev. The days when General Washington lead the troops across the frozen Chesapeake and surprised the Brits in Delaware are gone.

It suddenly changed the entire setup. Remember it was keying on that 3rd wave for a while...never the Euro which is why it lost the storm...then suddenly models shifted to waves 1 and 2. That had a MUCH lower ceiling. I know some will come on here and say anyone rooting for 6-12" was silly and foolish and blah blah blah but that was on the table with the wave 3 scenario. It was. This current one has now just about maxed out its possible potential. We got really lucky and are getting about the best possible outcome from this type of setup. But I think it was natural to be disappointed when the bigger and better setup was suddenly yanked away. I have not made one complaint about this event and whatever we get...but of course I would have preferred a more dynamic storm! Also given our recent history I think it was natural to be skeptical that we would max out like this and get lucky with the lower ceiling scenario. An areawide 1-2" was much more likely when things shifted to wave 1 and 2.
do you average more snow than Pittsburgh?

6Z Euro finally came around a bit.
Looks like a chance for an inch in a fairly small area where a bit of an enhanced band may set up. You might be in a good spot. Overall the forecast for a half inch or less seems reasonable.
Cape, what are the odds right now eastern peeps see snow before Feb?

Said it 2 years ago and I'll say it again: It blows my mind how many non science-minded folks we have shouting their useless opinions on this forum these days. Go to banter or even better, Twitter, if you want to masturbatorily tell everyone their analysis or forecast is wrong (while offering no real counterpoint or useful critique). It's so effing weird and it's gotten worse the last 10 years with the "spread" of the internet. I'm starting to believe social media was a mistake.
And I share Bob's sentiment. There's some previously decent posters who have lost their marbles the last few years. We need a lot less "OMFG look at the GEFS #WinterCancelled" repeated ad nauseum every 6 hrs. Post's like Bob's latest used to be much more the norm. Not living or dying by the latest model runs, but taking days/weeks worth of output as a whole and drawing higher level conclusions until those features got into the medium range. Thank you @psuhoffman for being a voice of reason in here when a lot of others have exited over the years.
That being said, my ignore list got a bit longer this morning
man, I knew I should have put masturbation on my winter bingo card
