I'm trying to figure out a realistic timeframe for rebuilding it with full force of federal and state behind it. Can't be under 2 years I would think?

Looks like a pretty potent rainstorm this weekend. Might as well hope its a soaker since we can't snow anymore.

Models that can't get 180 hours right in February will 100% be accurate at 306 and definitely snow on March 26. LFG

March 7th, grass is green, weeds growing, shorts weather outside, and I’m legit being pulled back in by a 384 GFS plot…
Love ya much, but if you get pulled in by a 384 GFS plot in early March, it really is your fault.

We may hit 70 next week
Bring it on. Ji and WW are chasing a mirage. I admire the tenacity but simple logic say that pattern changes take a while. It’s gonna put us into late March. Battling that dreaded sun angle. We’re done, but i ain’t mad at them.

i dont think this one is changing. In fact, the signal is getting better as we get closer. Kind of the opposite of February
Nah, he's right. The signal was getting better and better as we were closing in and then the bottom just fell out. So yeah, he's right...second verse, same as the first.

We are gonna start a new thread. It will be entitled, "The Ji-WW Alliance Snowstorm: Our Last Great White Hope"
After what I saw at Mammoth thru a camera for 4 days, I am officially batshyte crazy about 190 mph blizzards with 4-10 feet of snow in the Sierra.
Or about any snow we can get in March in the DMV.

Not giving up until the models do another 180 like they did for late February. But this time is different ...the ensembles and extended guidance are more in sync. What do I mean by that....the gradual return to cold ( I know it may not be cold enough, is showing up late in the ensemble runs. The EPO is tanking and the other teleconnections are lining up as we end the third week of March which could give us the Arctic air we need, The extended EPS snow mean, not control, keeps increasing (WB). Latest run compared to 13 runs ago. And the MJO is moving into less hostile phases. Will it happen, probably not, but I am not completely crazy; will be the first to admit when Lucy strikes again and kills it.
I honestly didn't take you for a masochist. I wanna see your bedroom closet.

Yeah, I have moved on to a 120. Only 1 left after this.
Now that's a situation that demands some attention.
I have two left

Looks like another 2 inches of rain here tonight through Wed, followed by more rain this weekend. Oh joy. Combined with the mild temps, the mosquito larvicide will need to go in a couple weeks sooner than ever before. This is some real, actual tangible weather impacts worth discussing. Not some silly ass control run snow map for late March that have absolutely zero chance of verifying.
Agreed...everybody just needs to move the fuck on

Do we know when gfs will start showing snow and cold in the March 15-30 window?

Where? I used the DFH finder and couldn't find anything within 10 miles of you.
Tenley town liquors. Like 20 mins from my spot.

I'm legit sorry for you...and yeah, UberEats has bit us in the ass a few times in recent years on stuff like this. SIGH. Back to the never-ending quest for DFH 120...
