Holy heck it was cold today. And the wind was raging. Every gust created a ground blizzard. Tonight I drove through the Notch and met a friend for dinner at Delaneys Hole in the Wall. Had wanted to do Moat Mtn Brewery but they are closed wed/thur. On the way home, I had to drive through 3-4 ground blizzards coming back up the notch. Complete whiteout, 0 visibility. Kinda scary

Surgery now on the 14th. I figure right around that time, there should be a huge storm, probably even thunder snow an I will miss it being under anesthesia

Snow mobile trail has no snow, and Omni shut down all outdoor activities accept downhill skiing until Sat pending the new snow. Bare spots on west mountain...this season has been challenging

Happens every year, stupid mofos drive their vehicles out onto Lake Winnipesaukee...ice fishing for cars...

Off of 50" of snow, that's impressive for sure.
I have 90" on the season and like 5" OTG. LOL
Won't have 5 OTG for much longer

Ouch, we took it hard here. We lost a lot of pack. Bretton Woods is blowing some snow to try to help resurface some trails to make it through vacation week.

Huh? I have 5” of fresh snow on my walkway, how are you not accumulating??? Although it is wet and when I shoveled it there is water on the bottom
Oops I was looking out my window at my car,too warm to accumulate on my car, probably about 4 sloppy inches on my driveway

Jeez, completely different over here at BW than where Phin is, it's been snowing but above freezing most of the event- not much able to accumulate at 302 level, but I bet the summit of BW did well.

Woke up early this morning and it felt cold inside... huh. Checked thermostats, set-temps all at 65F and all zones reading the same 60F. Uh oh. That's a sinking feeling when temps are in the single digits outside. Not sure what's up, went downstairs and seems the boiler is not igniting... the fan runs, the thermostat zone relays all are asking for heat (it's baseboard hot water) but boiler (propane) doesn't want to ignite. A bit harder on a Saturday but emergency service should be here any minute, about 6 hours after I discovered the issue.
Meanwhile my perpetual optimism has me thankful this issue has allowed me to have my first Saturday off from work since November, ha. This is so nice, getting some stuff done on an extra day off around home while it's 52F inside now. The funny thing is even at temps of like 10F the floor to ceiling south facing windows have managed to recover the temperature up a couple degrees in the past 90 minutes.
Update?

Gonna call it 15” now with the moose fart dust in full effect. My measuring stick is there.
Pretty much the same here as well. This is my biggest synoptic snowfall since I moved here...
Go figure- since I destroyed my knee and I'm basically trapped in my house...
You win some, you lose some, I guess...

@PhineasC how much did you measure?

I estimate a foot at rt 302 level in BW...
It sure looks pretty!

It was a 2.9 magnitude quake centered in Gorham. We felt it here in Jackson too. My whole cabin shook and there was a rumbling noise outside like I've never heard before. Confirms that I don't ever want to experience a moderate or large earthquake lol.
Back on the weather side...I measured 4.5" at 1am and a whole lot more fell overnight. I'll go out for an updated measurement around 6:30. 24F with steady snow at the moment.
Holy crap!

It was pretty amazing. The snow has a perfect consistency - not soft, not hard

This was a lot easier to clear than the stuff from 1/17.
I think this time we hovered at 3-4 degrees the entire storm. All you have to do is go outside and sneeze and this stuff blows around

Yeah, this next round of rain should wipe out any natural snow at 302 level. I live right across from the ski area and have such an amazing view from my house. After the last round of rain storms, bare patched showed up on the ski trails, especially West Mtn. The snow mobile trails were also completely bare. We got around 8 inches of fluff this past week that covered the brown patches, but natural snow cover is so thin. So this next round of warm temps and rain is going to put the nail in the coffin on the snowmobiling, and any natural snow trails at the ski area
