  1. Had a great time playing the Highland links in Truro last week. Great little 9 hole course, true links style layout. My son couldn't seem to stay out of the shit though.

  2. Played Crumpin Fox. Wish  i hadn’t. Had a stretch of 5 pars in a row on the back but other than that, it was a struggle. 47/43.
It's a nice track. My son works there, his discounts are nice as it's way too rich for my blood...

I basically live right across there street from the course. Lol I never have to buy any balls.

  3. Close to 5" if not more now.  We overperform.
Just drove from home to the rotary to drop off my son. Wow, what a difference in the roads, snow quality, etc just a little elevation makes. Definitely a few inches more at home.

  4. Nice Super Bowl tailgate at Berkshire East yesterday.  Skiing was pretty awesome for manmade.  I definitely like that they leave some features in the groomed surface.

I can't believe we have another poster from Franklin Co!    Make sure you post in obs threads too!
But yeah, Berkshire has done a great job considering how winter has gone.  Saturday was great snow all day.
I was there both sat and sun, should have said hi!

They need some natural snow, but what they've got open is great.

I was surprised at the crowd on Sunday. If you're headed up there next Sunday, come early because there's a big race. The parking lot and lodge will be a disaster. I'll be there at 630am. Ugh.

  5. I don't like skiing when I can't see the snow surface, is that a problem? My eyesight isn't that good with my disease.
No problems at all. I like to go fast and I'm not a fan of flat light. I get it, it just sounded odd. Really just busting your balls. ... of course, I was unaware of a medical condition. Carry on.

  6. I wanted to get out today and ski at Sundown, but it was a cloudy day this morning. The mountain faces West and doesn't get direct light for most of the day. The week ahead looks dismal for local skiing.
You couldn't ski today because it was cloudy this morning?

  7. You think similar lake placid?  Thinking 3 to 6 here, was surprised to see almost 10 inches of pack on the ground here but the hotel is just NW of the town of lake placid and sits at 2k feet.  Just beautiful up here

Never been up there. Odd place, where the trees grow sideways.

  8. Just got home from the restaurant. The road are a wreck.

Thunderstorm? Crazy! We had several very close strikes down by the greenfield rotary. Saw a few firetrucks head over to Bjs. Pretty sure the restaurant itself or the immediate area got stuck twice. Both times the entire computer system went down due to surges. Had several outlets in the kitchen throw sparks. My cooks freaked out, lol. Lost the ability to process credit cards for a few hours, which sucked. Between that and the water main break outside the store on Saturday night, I've had a few unlucky shifts at work. ... it's times like this when being the guy in charge isn't fun.

  9. Berkshire East reporting no new snow and light rain.
I am a little surprised they got no snow at their elevation?
Ugh. Haven't been there yet this year.

I had a light crust on my driveway and road. Highway was just wet. Nothing noticeable at the Greenfield rotary when I got gas.

  10. Where is lurker?  With MPM living in ORH we need more Franklin Co posters!  Yukon Cornelius where are you?
    I'm here. ... lurking.

It's wonderful outside. Went to bed at midnight. Up now to head to work, down in chicopee. Ugh. Haven't measured, but well over a foot.

Why choose. Half day lift ticket and hit 9 holes on the way home. ;)

Wish I could, but I'll have to head to work Saturday mid-afternoon.  It'll have to be one or the other.

  12. Paid for my membership today at my local 9 hole track. While Crump is far nicer and much closer, I cannot justify the cost.  I've tried (It's basically across the street, there would be zero gas costs...).

They're hoping to open up on Saturday provided things dry out.

So I haven't decided.  Ski on Saturday, or play golf?

Well I did it again (my collarbone is finally healed) This time it’s a broken radious, actually shattered. Have to get surgery so that’s the end of my season at 18 days. Lost control on the ice at Stratton and put my left hand down (luckily right handed). I’ll still get up to Vermont for some hiking. Next season I’ll be sitting out icy days...

    Damn...   Sorry to hear that.
