1/26/15 was only 1-2" for DC and IIRC 2/8/97 was warmish and mixy in the city
There always is until there isn't. It's silly to throw out numbers for a D5 storm. But it could be a 6-10"+ event for the interior. We get a lot more modeled snow than actual snow.
it's not that warm at the surface..maybe mid 30s. It's not that hard to get 2-3" of snow in Leesburg after a changeover on January 4th. You did it like 24 times in 2012-13
