I have never seen model's put out this much snow for my neck of the woods. This is exciting.

Biggest snow I've ever seen is 18in. Looks like a chance to top that. I'm excited.

Good solid inch so far here. Switched from rain to snow around 6pm.

We just had a gust of 51 here according to my home station. The Squall line is still 30 miles west.
-
The MD about this storm is just insane.

Things got interesting here in Pike County. Saw some rotation west of Pittsfield, Nothing ever close to the ground though. Some heavy rain and hail followed.

In your opinion where should I head to right now exactly? Headed to Hannibal right now but I need to turn north at some point I think
Sunset is in three hours, I think you gotta get west or you will run out of light before they get to you. I agree that a northward turn for you at some point is probably the good play. Ride the warm front to the triple point.

You may get lucky. Storms are exploding from Columbia Mo to Macomb...then there is a break and then the line in nw Mo.
I feel like the new line back in NW Mo is the best bet. This first line approaching the Mississippi river right now looks meh as of now.

Sun is trying to come out here in West Central Il. Temp has rebounded some now as well, closing in on 70.

Sunday definitely looks interesting. I always feel like these fall triple point set ups produce well in our neck of the woods.

How are people going to get their bitcoin?
This is one of the things that always make me laugh about bitcoin die hards. They are like "in a disaster you will wish you had it." Umm what? How does that work exactly?
To be fair I'm invested in bitcoin but the thought that it's useful in a situation like this or Afghanistan as I've heard many say this week is laughable.

If we're 6 mph less than a Cat 3, I would've fudged the numbers a bit to get people to evacuate.
I understand the sentiment but it's important to be accurate with your reporting. Unfortunately we live in a country where science is already not trusted by many, fudging numbers to reach the next cat does not help that cause any. I am sure the people who are going to get out are already doing so. 6mph isn't going to change many minds.

Epic rainfall just now. 2 inches in less than a half hour. A lot of roads impassable here.

God lord this thing looks like a monster on radar.

Definitely cycling, but it should be noted there is no more junkvection to the south anymore.
This definitely has potential to be worse with the junk cleared out.
-
Wow that thing looks nasty.
-
Not much clearing going on here. Sun came out for about ten minutes.

Was nice to see the marginal upgrade in my neck of the woods for tomorrow. Better than another two days of solid rain.
