Yay, more rain today and NYE. When/if this cold air ever gets here, is there any doubt it’ll turn dry?
Not a doubt. The awful winter keeps on rolling into January.

This morning Randy Ollis mentioned Indy has yet to record a 1" snowfall this season and we are quite late for that to happen. It looks to be another week away at least. Sigh.

It's really fun to be tracking a major storm system in November and I'm happy for the weenies to my north and west that are about to get blasted, but it sure comes at a cost for those of us in Indiana and Ohio who will only get to experience mood flakes, blustery winds, and temps that be below normal even for mid January standards this week. Obviously really early and I'm hopeful that our turn will come, but in the meantime cold and dry sucks.
I stayed away from the forum to keep my frustration down. After two dud winters in a row, I am due for a storm or two.

I am headed to Waco this weekend and began watching the NWS forecast since it became available. It seems every day is a completely new and random forecast. One day it is cool and 68 for the high to having 25 mph winds or possible a baking hot day in the middle 80's with today's forecast being a 60% chance of thundershowers.
Is the wx in Waco that unpredictable? I really have no way to plan for Saturday with these wildly changing forecasts. -
I while back I asked about the weather and tulips for Holland, MI. This weekend I made it there along with a few other places in Grand Rapids and Grand Haven. A pretty decent weather weekend overall. The tulips were hit or miss. Many had not bloomed and a few came early and were damaged by weather. I did get a few photos anyway.
If you're in Grand Haven, visit Sweet Temptations and have some dark decadence chocolate ice cream. Nothing better.- 5

Question about Holland Tulip Festival...
Vacation has been planned to come for the Tulip Festival. With what seems like a slow start to spring, anything I should be aware of? We are going for an early morning photo tour before it opens so we have concerns about the development of the tulips.

This was the storm that made me go out and buy a snow blower. I still have it today.
