hmm does he know if there's been any snow near the Lake Harmony and Albrightsville area-- elevation around 2,200 feet.
He couldn't say, but If I had to hazard a guess I'd think there would be some flakes flying there too.

All architecture post 1940s is horrendous. That's the general rule.
As a retired ironworker I can tell you some of the building designs were horrendous to look at and put together.

I don't know. It just seems windy all too often over the last 10 years, or so. Maybe I notice more since I have less hair?

Early next week continues to look warmer and warmer. Well up into the 50s.
I'll be looking forward to it.

Exactly and I see absolutely no comparison whatsoever to December, 2010. That was driven by severe AO/NAO blocking and a poleward Aleutian ridge. We are going to see a big moderation mid-monthThe usual big Christmas heat wave.

I think it got hotter after the rain. Feels like I'm in Florida.
Don't worry, the days are getting shorter.

If dementia is delayed in me I will have to give most of the credit to the weather forum. Thank you Liberty and many other members whom by their posts have sent me on searches, so I can attempt to understand what the hades they are talking about. My latest adventure was tree sexuality. (Please no woodpecker or knothole replies). I was introduced to the terms Monoecious and Dioecious. It was fascinating to find out that my ever bearing oak, from the beginning till the acorn hits the ground, (or me) is Monoecious. If you have a cotton wood or red/silver maples, they are Dioecious. (Male tree or female tree). Damned if I know how you’d tell the difference when it’s a sapling. Below are photos of my all in one oak and my what ever it is maple. Thank you Liberty and others because it is thought provoking posts that will keep me thinking/searching, so that in the days/months/years ahead I can still find my own way home. Stay well all, as always ….
Geez, I miss Brooklyn.

Dormant? I 've got rosemary growing fresh, creeping charlie still green and growing, and green grass that looks suspiciously like its starting to grow.....
And I was right, crocuses about half an inch out of the ground.

I'm afraid to see if my crocuses are popping through.
