This spotter lives just NE of Emmitsburg. They also reported several rumbles of thunder. I have my own network of spotters that assist with that side of my business. I ended up with .11 here. A rainy day in the books with light to moderate rain for 3 hours after a morning full of heavy drizzle. A slow soaker. If this happened once ever 3-4 days the grass would grow quite well.
No kidding. No thunder a few miles east. I’ve built my own network of cocarahs in Adams. Between me and a few friends I’ve talked into it, I have 7 rain gauge reports.

Spotter in southern Adams County up to .20. It is overachieving there. We are up to .04.
Where at? I have gauge in Fairfield and one just north of Harney. Couple hundredths both places

Rainfall yesterday (~7am-7am): .41"
Rainfall for April: 4.73"
Rainfall for 2024: 17.98"
Would be curious to know if anyone is greater than my nearly 18" YTD figure??
Just added up my numbers and I’m at 18.14 ytd.

39 this Am. The rain conveniently started up again just after midnight but only .3 more for a 5-day running total of 2.4". Less than 2" for the work week. No flooding over this way.
Close Approx. (may be missing .01 or .02 either way) three-day work week running totals for Major NWS Spots. This includes up until 7:30 this AM.

It's not too late to start a comeback in the mowing contest. Someone needs to dethrone the champ.
Do golf course greens count? I’ve already had to mow twice

I added the new course to cocarahs today so now I have Fairfield 1 NNE, Dover 4.3 E, and Gettysburg 7.3 S. What a line up
Oh and my coop site is officially Cashtown 1 S. Hard to keep track.

If your roads are just wet, it is the ultimate bust. You always cave.
I went out around 5 and the only road that was snow covered was Bullfrog Rd.

Eyeballing about 2" but nothing concrete or road has snow on it. Going to go down (here) as one of the worst WSW events ever. Not the NWS's fault. Modeling pulled the rug. Light snow and 30. Two WSW's in a week and the combined snow from both events is less than 6" @Chris78 any better there? @WaynesboroWX
2.9”. Bust

Still moderate stuff, should finish around 7” here. Awesome event
Not bad. EJ reports 3” in Emmitsburg less than 10 miles away. I’m closing in on 5” here

I’ll take it!
My yard & MDT are pretty close to the 6 to 10!
That means MDT should at least report 2” storm total.

Some areas down here got up to 76, just not official stations, if that makes you feel any better.
Yeah, when I’m out driving around I’ll look around at how people install these home stations ( on roof tops, next to black top driveways etc). I hope they don’t take their observations too seriously.
