Decent thunder above about an hour ago.

I feel like May is always our coldest non-winter month.

I think what pisses me off is that right now it's sunny and 75°F and I'm sitting inside working. By the time Saturday rolls around, it'll be cold and wet again. Because at least here, that's how the weekends go in May. This past weekend I got home from my kid's T-Ball game, which was a nightmare because by the time all the pomp and circumcision was finished, it was cold, windy, and wet, and then snowflakes started mixing in with the rain. Two days later, it's a gorgeous spring day. And the point and click shows more cool and wet on the weekend to where I took time off work tomorrow to mow the grass because it already needs to be done again. Last year felt worse than this so far, but it seems like the first half of summer is going to be lousy. I can understand in Lancaster, where it's supposed to be warmer, it was. Here it's been a mixed bag.

What the hell is going on?

Froze to death this morning/early afternoon as a wonderful feature of being here in the higher lands is the sun was out at this morning at 9:15 and 38°F felt nice. By game time at 11:30 (after pictures and a parade) the clouds and wind arrived and 44°F was unbearable. I fucking hate May.

My kid's T-Ball Opening Day is tomorrow at 9:30 AM. Current forecast in Curwensville is 38°F at 9:30 AM. I played baseball in snow. I was not four-years-old. This pattern needs to change.

Interesting development: Thunder

Mine was way overdue but I also haven't been there in 12 months to mow and I had to use the second highest blade level on the push mower just to keep it from shutting off. It's going to need another touchup the next sunny day and from there it'll be regular maintenance.

I haven't posted much about them this season and haven't this week because I don't want to jinx it. It's been too damned long since they've sniffed success, but a quick personal story. I'm all but back in "Vail," as @candersonhas referred to my location, and my kid is trying (the perils of trying to get toddlers to do anything) T-Ball and seeing all his stupid teammates and their stupid parents in Penguins gear this week has been an absolute treat. Going to order a Vladar sweater and wear it for the entire season if this series doesn't end up being the all-time disaster.

My ten day shows a lowest daytime high of 58°F. While I wish for 80s, in May, I'll live with 58°F.

I like to think that I am a fairly smart (ass) individual. Reading @Jns2183 makes me feel Oklahoma public school levels of dumb.
