End of the forecast now shows the number 90.

I think it's been pretty established by now that the summer will be back-ended and July and August should be warmer. Still beats 50s and 60s. Also looks like a potentially tropical system will be in the area on Monday. If it stays to the south, it may get warmer just by virtue of the sun being closer.

My sociopath of a child (four) has had one thing on his mind the past month: Swimming. His grandparents have an above-ground pool that was opened and cleaned out earlier in the month. Today is May 28th and I can report he has dragged me to his grandparent's pool the last two days and into ice cold water. I have long held one criterion for what constitutes a good May: "Did I swim?" Against my better judgement, I guess it's been a good May.

Temperature in Three Springs fell to 69°F after everything blew through. Looking like the precip may underperform this weekend.

It's only enjoyable to me if I'm near or inside water. Other than that, it's too damned hot. High 70s - mid 80s are perfect.
