I’m more worried about it down by TTN than the NYC metro. Remember that for the system a week ago no high res models showed more than 2 to maybe 3 hours of sleet and the NAM was almost all sleet on some runs
You think TTN gets alot of sleet again after the switch?

Gets above freezing around 7-8pm.... about .75 LE falls before then.
Without seeing any maps that sounds like an improvement.

38F now. state of NJ is getting an early dismissal LOL not complaining though...
Ha you beat me to it. Yea, early dismissal for NJ state workers. Not entirely sure why, nothing is happening here in TTN. Perhaps up north its gonna be bad?

That's about the most explanation you'll get from him. He's strictly for those in the know. But a decent fellow it seems.
I think he's implying that the mountains are gonna carve up (dry out) some moisture with that track. Since it goes right through the apps.

I tend to put much less weight on 06z and 18z model runs unless within 1-2 days of an event. I have found anomalies in the solutions over the years. Not sure if others agree. But always seems that 0z and 12z are more consistent.
I agree. 12z & 0z hold more weight to me until the event is a day or 2 out.

I’ve been in this forum for at least 5 winters and never heard of an 18z euro. Is there a 06z as well and is this a new feature?
It's new
