Hope it's OK to post Rocky Mountain updates here (the Mountain West forum is dead). Eldora got 46" from this storm we just had, their largest total since 2003. They were closed yesterday and part of today. Buddy sent me this picture from the road in Nederland - the plow couldn't handle the snow.
Not sure if I'll actually try to get out tomorrow - the reports I've heard say that this is basically cement (who am I kidding though, of course I'll get out).

Denver area continues to do well with snowfall. They are in a sweet spot with the warming, like NYC was 2010-2015. Meanwhile, we are almost 80 in Baltimore.
22" from this storm here in Boulder. I was living in Richmond during 09/10 and it really stung to see the insane snow totals just an hour or two north (although Jan 2016 helped a little). I think I can finally say I'm content ~15 years later now that I have experienced three 20"+ events in 5 years along with the all-time snowiest winter in Boulder. This is truly a sick hobby
All that said, there is something magical about a good MA snowstorm. I miss it.

Storm total in Boulder is 21.9", making this the 12th largest event of all-time. This is now the third 20"+ event since 2019.
Eldora received 46", their highest total since at least 2003.

Eldora reporting nearly 4 feet from this event, their highest total since 2003. They'll be closed again tomorrow. Might try to get up there Saturday (along with everyone else in Boulder).

No worries on the backend amounts anymore. This is getting ridiculous. I have no idea how much has fallen here and I lost track many hours ago.
Yeah, this very well could be the longest duration of steady snow I've ever seen IMBY. Too bad so much was lost to rain and sun angle, otherwise it might have been an all-timer here.

Currently at hour 21 of snow here in Boulder with about 15" total. It's basically been 32-33 the entire storm. Still hoping to crack 20"!

The official total in Boulder at 7am was 8.9". The models are suggesting another 6-12" for me so we'll see what happens. Would be fun to break 20!

I have around 8-9" in North Boulder at the moment. Hoping the back end comes through.

Just switched over to snow. 33 degrees.

QPF totals:
18z NAM
Boulder: 3.59"
Denver: 2.65"
18z GFS
Boulder: 3.87"
Denver: 2.56"Kuchera is wild for me...40" on the NAM and 38" on the GFS. Fun to look at, if nothing else.

12z GFS gives me over 3.6" of qpf, mostly snow. NAM is about 3.2" qpf. Pretty wild!

Saw this posted in Seth's weather group. Arvada 29" Golden 28" Aurora 27" Lakewood 27" Louisville 26" Westminster 26" Arvada 25" Centennial 24". I got 27" clearing once at 3pm Sunday, probably would have had close to 30" if I cleared Saturday night. Seemed to justify a little more >24" in the western and eastern suburbs. The low spots being SW Denver, downtown, and Boulder.
It's amazing how accurate the meso models were, particularly the HRRR (even though precip was off by a bit). Saturday night / Sunday morning I was seeing a hole/shadow over Boulder but higher totals to the south (JeffCo/Golden) and east (Louisville/Westminster), all of which verified. I even mentioned it to Seth on his FB page and he basically said proximity to the mountains can be both a blessing and a curse for Boulder.
It's sort of frustrating that areas ~20 minutes away from me received 2ft+ - I really wanted to break my all-time IMBY record of 25" - but what are you 'gonna do. I've witnessed two 20"+ IMBY events in 16 months after going 16 years without one, which is pretty neat. Plus, the record-breaking season last year and the September snow.

The official total in Boulder is 20.7" with 2.08" QPF. This makes it the 15th highest storm total all-time.

Which ski resort in Colorado or Wyoming typically gets the most snow in the March blockbuster blizzards?
One day, I am gonna position myself in one of those ski resorts and get my fill of snow WITHOUT the responsibilities I faced on the ranch down here in south central Texas during the Frozentine Day After Tomorrow Event last month. I'll just jebwalk myself to death in a mammoth 6 foot blizzard with headphones blasting, all without a care in the snowy world!
Wolf Creek, Silverton, and Loveland top the list for annual snowfall. I want to say that even Wolf Creek saw 2ft+ from this event.
Eldora normally does well with the juicy Front Range storms.

I definitely got in the range of 20-24" and the snow may be ending
Remains to be seen, but it looks like Loveland might have been the jackpot in the CO urban corridor.

Wow - DIA reported 24.1" at 6pm. If that is true, this should be Denver's 4th largest snowstorm of all time.

The official measurement for Boulder was 19.9" as of 6pm. Knowing that, I'm fairly certain we broke 20".
-
I have at least 19". I haven't measured consistently enough and my board is in a bad spot. The Boulder COOP station right down the road had 18.1" at 2:30 so I'll be interested to see what their final is.
I decided to skin up and ski down the NCAR hill with my roommate - it was a blast.

It's an amazing storm.
Also, would you mind if I add your photo to my winter storms photos site.
Not at all Don! I'll be sure to upload more as the day goes on.

17" here.
Looks like Cheyenne is about to break their single storm record.

Nice shots. Were you able to ski the East Wall at A-Bay? Love those Mary Jane trees. Only rivaled by the aspens off the Sundown lift at Steamboat IMO (at least in CO). I think Copper has the best lift layout of any of the resorts around here.
I did get up to Eldora today. Talked to a patroller and he said the runs looked like a "battlefield" yesterday with all of the carnage. Today featured some of the tallest bumps I've seen in years. They were really soft though. Had the trees to myself and they were deep. Can't complain.
