1045 AM Update... Minor adjustments in the latest update. Really tried to hone in on the impressive mesoscale band from roughly RI into SE MA extending to Cape Ann. Can kind of see where the two bands set up earlier per the SPC Mesoanalysis 850-700 hPa Fgen, but really only one band per current radar at this point as the one further west appears to have collapsed. Within this band we are getting snowfall rates of 1-4" per hour at times and it is here where the highest totals are anticipated. Thinking there could be some isolated 30+ inch totals within the band. Remainder of the forecast looks good and have just brought things in line with the latest obs.

As Scott pointed out, that drift is keeping us out for the time being. We'll see. I mean. It's still insanity out there.

Good example here of why I was posting the higher tilts. You can often see the first signs of one band taking over for another a bit faster on them I've realized.

The band smack dab over S Wey looks like the dominant one. Ferocious looking.
