Buffalo is perfectly located for some of the strongest wind events in lower elevation locations. Its like a funnel up the lake and gets amplified. Another reason why I like it here. Now that my fence is fixed I'm back on the wind train.
If we miss Thursday/Friday we have a pretty potent clipper after that with some lake enhanced snow, then another cutter next week. First 2 weeks of March look good but far out.
Going skiing tonight with the buy 1 get 1 free. By end of next week its going to look ugly even at Holiday Valley. I count 4 days above 50 here in WNY.
1976-1977 was the worst winter in Buffalos history with 200" of snow recorded at the airport, with much more south of the city. It also had the blizzard of 1977 which gave the city its name.
