Latest Euro showing mostly AN, with a few BN day here and there now.

Hogtown’s official low was, indeed, 39 (11 BN). But today’s high was way up at 79, 3 AN! It looks less cool tonight, but low 40s are forecasted for Thu and Fri nights there.
We have a forecast high of 80 today and low of 32 tomorrow night here. These swings are nuts.

Another windy day, but mostly sunny and 74. Seems like it's windy every day lately.

South of ATL here. We dodged a bullet to be honest. Stayed up until 1 am watching radar drop tornadoes just to our west in Alabama. By 1am we could see the tornado threat was over for us thankfully. North of ATL though got 2 bands of severe thunderstorms move through with damaging winds. We did have a few 60mph gusts here, but thankfully no damage, we have power. Just a mess in the yard. Stay safe everyone, hopefully the tornado threat is gone

The haze detracted from the clarity of the blood moon right up until about 20 minutes before totality, then the clouds fully obscured. How do clouds know right when to thicken, and ruin the whole show?? Kind of like snatching defeat from a "heavy snow" warning, lol.
Yup, same here, missed it unfortunately.

This is definitely shaping up to be very bad. Stay safe everyone! Unfortunately, I am at a level 4 for tomorrow night through Sunday morning.

Here we go again. Hopefully the tornado siren doesn't wake me in the middle of the night again. So we have had 3 tornado sirens the last 5 mos, and they always happen between 2-4 am. Fun.

This is wild! Despite only a marginal tornado risk, a tornado (EF2!) hit the studio in Seminole County, FL, a little NE of Orlando along I-4 this morning while the TV met was on the air!!
Yikes!!!

Chilly day here is S Georgia ( Hazlehurst ). It has been a while since I posted. Hurricane Helene did tremendous damage in our area and my 2 acres was not spared. I lost over 23 trees , had my well house and well damaged .i was without power for 3 1/2 weeks, water 7 weeks.
Looking at the weekend system will it have all the fuel and ingredients or will we be spared in the mid south and S again? Looks more likely to give us trouble ( not me so much)
Sorry to hear about the damage. And yes, this Saturday could be ANOTHER bad wind event. I cant believe the wind we have had this year.

Rain yesterday, and still going today. Chilly 43 with gusty winds. 1.4" of rain so far.

In this area Mother Nature (flowers, bugs, pollen) is saying we had a cold enough winter. Azaleas are still largely not out yet. That compares to some recent ones when they were out in early Feb! Also, I saw no early bugs. They’ve started coming out only over the last week or so: sand gnats, mosquitoes, wasps, etc. My favorite thing about winter is the lack of bugs to bug me. The pine pollen has been out for 1-2 weeks but that’s normal timing.
I’m already looking forward to next winter just like I do for every winter, my favorite season!
So ironically though, the Bermuda grass is coming out of dormancy quicker than normal. Strange.

Obviously, just like for 2017-8, it was an easy A+ here with 3” of sleet/snow along with a little ZR with over 2” of this sleet likely making it the biggest sleet in history, the first wintry precip of any kind/amount in 7 years. Getting any measurable in a winter is a win due to the rarity. Avg sleet/snow is only 0.2”. Also, temps averaged ~1BN.
It seemed much colder due to the prolonged extreme cold days we had. But throw in the way above normal days we had too, and it only wound up being just a touch below normal. Definitely an odd winter for sure.

Fortunately, we didn't have any tornado warnings last night. But man that wind and rain was intense! Picked up 1.4 inches of rain, gusts last night hit 45mph, with sustained winds of around 25 to 30mph most of the night and early this morning. Much calmer this morning.

32.6 this morning for the low. Looks like a hard freeze tonight. Wonder how many more hard freezes we have left this spring
Wow, hard freeze for you? Gonna dip down to 31 in my location for an hour tomorrow morning. After that, looks like we probably don't get below freezing again until end of year

34.2 was this mornings low. Today is definitely the last day for my two remaining snow piles. Will say, the ones at the office will last a while. They piled it high as a car top after the storm and did it in the shade. Still several feet deep. One of y’all must’ve been driving the plow there
Sounds like the piles of snow we had until April up north. By April though, they looked like big dirt piles.

WOW! 67 with sunshine. Feels wonderful!

How in the world is Raleigh only -1 this year? I guess the first two weeks of February offset the whole winter lol
Definitely did. For us in GA also. Year of extremes so far.

Low of 25 at 6am, already at 42. Guessing we top our forecast high of 55 if it stays sunny all afternoon.

Last few days have been perfect...well other than the pollen. YIKES!!! Mid to upper 70's with low humidity. Doesn't get much better.
