Heavy wet snow! Was wild shoveling it. Big piles woukd glisten blue hues like you see in glaciers. Even with it compacted down, still had 5" on most flat surfaces.

From looking outside, appears to be about 4" in little ferry. Started as rain last night. Took longer to finally accumulate.

What time did it hit? Explains all the snow in Kearny.

Driving to work. A few water main braues caused icy conditions but so did the apparent snow in Hudson county. 95 in Kearny, 3cits and at job were all coated in snow.

These winds are brutal. Was on 95 going to training. Over the hackensack river huge gust came through, watched every truck start moving thinking one was going to tip then my pickup got hit and was like wtf.

Light rain, temps have risen 2 degrees.

15 degrees this morning. Lake down the block finally froze over. Believe this is the earliest I've seen it frozen.

Most of the places where nyc's reservoirs are don't have storm water drains. It's all culvert on natural ground so it just gets soaked into the dirt.

Only got to 24 at home and 23 at work. Assuming cloud cover kept it from dropping any further.

Been mostly clear here in Bergen County. Wind is picking up. Snow drying up as it approaches.

Absolutely frigid out there this morning. Says 31 but feels wayyyy colder. Any standing water is ice still.

Walked outside this morning for work, it just has the cold feeling of snow. Even colder feeling at work further south. Radar looks so impressive too.

What an awful day. The 2 breaks I had in classroom training and it was just damp and raw. Misty on drive home.

These last 2 days were only virtual days. Next week new job training actually starts in Kearny, nj.

42 at home on a gloomy day. Day 2 of new job safety training. I coukd get used to working from home lol

Nj dot trucks sitting on shoulders this morning for rain?? Was nowhere near areas that might see frozen precip.
