That is absolutely nuts.
Hahah it is. Quite hilarious from where I sit but I understand all the butt hurt nonetheless- 1

I think big snow for the Cape and Islands has always been an elusive beast. Enjoy it when it happens.
Indeed but there were some pretty epic storms in the 80s and 90s if I’m not mistaken. Not to mention the ponds used to freeze here, but that’s a whole other can of worms- 1

We’re gonna get smoked down here
.
I hope so! -
I’m certainly biased on this one but I for one and certainly pleased how this storm has shaped up.
The kids don’t get snow storms on the vineyard anymore like we used too…- 4

Trying to get an idea of winds on Monday, unsure if boats will be cancelled to the islands.

got it. haven't been to Woods Hole to catch the ferry to MVY in a while, it's nice down there
its been mild but id wait till spring. unless you're into erosion! last few events have hammered the south shore. the (somewhat) famous Lucy Vincent cliff is quickly receeding now.

Hm, that’s actually not as bad as I expected. BOS Probably ends up with 10 inches for Jan, which is below average but not a complete trainwreck like Dec. Im not excited about the models right now, but hopefully things change and we finish with a cold and snowy Feb and Mar.
hope so too

17 MVY

MVY airport can have the bottom fall out under ideal conditions.
Indeed, MVY airport is located next to a few frost bottoms, coldest temps on MVY found here. 32 7am at my house, 25 at MVY airport
. -
Radiation?
I know MVY can radiate quite well.
38 on MVY, We’re usually 5-10 degrees warmer than the inner mainland. ACK 41 right now
. -
Perfect radiating night....34⁰ in town, 24⁰ here, just 5 minutes away....while I understand it is "fake" cold, my need to warm the house is definitely not fake
What’s fake about it?

It’s hard to believe .. but when I’m up there in winter .. there’s still a few municipalities living in the 80’s using sand
We mostly sand on the Islands

You missed the epic Feb 13 blizzard. That was an all timer for your hood.
Nemo was epic
