Just passed 90 inches of rain for the year, 90.84 to be exact. Shattering yearly record.
124 inches here on the southern escarpment you can’t take a step without water squirting everywhere. Lol

Winter storm watches up.

Flooding unbelievable here this morning. Already over 6 inches of rain. Nice win for the FV3 GFS being furthest NW than other models.
Thankfully no flooding here just over 3.50 inches. Brings my total to 112 inches for the year.
-
Gettin really windy here. Probably 40-45 mph gusts.
-
Winds really picking up here.
-
This upslope rain is adding up fast.

Thanks everyone. You guys are a great crowd!
Storm total now 3.52" and it’s really coming down. Radar keeps filling in...classic upslope.
EDIT: surface low appears much far west and south than any model had. Seems somewhere in the vicinity between Augusta, GA and Columbia, SC. This will have implications later!
Will this have any implications for the southern escarpment?

2004 says hello. Any new info on where this thing is headed now?
-
Wind is really starting pick up.
-
Is thing still moving south/southwest?
-
Flash flood watch just posted for the mountains.

Keep us updated on what you think.

Probably more. 60kt barrier jet into the mountains from the east/southeast with high precipitable waters. Can't do that meteorologically without having a really strong response. Of course, this assumes the track stays the same, which it won't. Expect more changes as the days evolve.
Good to hear you chiming in. What’s your take on the track for our area?

Yep agreed. We just had a flood warning here early this morning. Close to 3 inches just last night in northern end of county.
Definitely not good. We’ve already had 103 inches so far this year. I don’t know how much more we can handle.

Well, this has certainly been fun to watch unfold... and will continue to be. Will have me well prepared for winter. Expecting anywhere from 2-10 inches of rain here near Mountain Home. We shall see.
Yeah. Prime upslope regions could see 12+ out of this.

It then pushes inland moving NW past Greenville and over the mountains past NE Tenn. Mountains would get good rains with this path.
How much rain are we looking at for the mountains?
-
Yeah it’s not looking good.
-
Any chance this ridge comes in stronger and pushes this thing farther south into the coast of South Carolina or georgia?
-
It just can’t quit rainin. 23 inches now in the last 15 days.
-
17.46 inches of rain the last 15 days and it’s still raining.
-
I don’t think I’ve ever seen it rain so hard
-
Yeah still waiting. Lol
-
Looks like some hefty rainfall totals on the way for the southern escarpement 6-8 inches with locally higher amounts.
-
If we were to get a tropical system move through after all the rain we just had it will not be good.
