Watching that storm to my SW out of Leesburg. Right now looks to go just to my South but am hearing thunder off of it. After last night’s surprise pop up I may just bring in the catio just in case.

We had a nasty hailstorm in Clarksburg. The ground was blanketed in hail within minutes. Definitely the strongest storm I’ve seen here in the last few years.

That was me!  I'm 57.  It's so nice to have a whole community to talk weather with on here.  All I had was weather on the news and my Bearcat weather radio

I'm hoping this one surprises a la 3/9/99

That was also me! Even though nowadays I primarily concentrate on mathematical modeling, my fascination with weather has persisted into my 50s.  :mapsnow:

Really?  I'll have to go measure again.  Mine was a decidedly non-scientific single measurement between meetings in one location next too the house.  Thanks for the flag.

This event is absolutely amazing.  I have followed the necessary procedures to ensure that the reporting I generate follows to the guidelines. As of 3:30 PM, we have already surpassed 6.2 inches in this part of Clarksburg.

Checking in from the house in Clarksburg!  3.1" new on the ground so far.  26.1ºF and no wind.  When I came down on Tuesday, I got to see how a northern airport (Burlington, VT) conducts ops in a snowstorm.  It will be interesting to see how DCA is doing when I fly out this evening....

We just passed 5" in Clarksburg, MD  as of 9:15PM  5" SN 26/25
