    i lived through Andrew, lived just north of Homestead. eye missed us, was in the eyewall the entire time. it was hours of pure hell. horitzonal rain in the house...blew out almost all the windows. we were lucky because our house was concrete block built in the 70s, not wood frame. PTSD is a thing. These wind events f me up. at least its daytime though. peak andrew was 1am - 5am ill post some pics some day.

    Looking at the models and data, it looks like a solid 3" Smiley on KDKA isn't buying any of it, says less than 1"...starts as rain, quick burst of snow, then ice back to rain. Although I guess that is consistent with the GFS...

    It is interesting that any region right now can cherry pick a model and say they are in the bullseye. Which means that there is still massive uncertainty on where this thing is headed. That said, relying on climo, I'm predicting that the WTOD is gonna win out here in PIT. Its on every model to some degree, and usually comes out stronger than progged.
