Can't seem to commit to the flip here on the RI S coast. It's been flopping between rain and snow for the past hour. Currently all rain
-
Still has not flipped to straight rain here in S RI. Hope that's a good sign for some of you further north

My partner left for work about an 90 minutes ago. The spot under her car is covered with around a half inch of sleet
-
-
Closing in on 5 inches. Super fluffy now compared to what fell earlier
-
Pounding sleet at the moment. Looks like I might pick up an inch if it flips soon enough?
Edit:
That would make this my third? biggest event of the season? I am awful at keeping track. I only remember the big ones

Strongest winds yet at the moment. Hit a couple gusts over 70mph no doubt

Forgot the sarcasm font lol. Was a fun place to work though.
Lol after rereading your comment I look like a doofus and your joke is pretty obvious. I imagine you had some interesting experiences there

Worked there for a few years after high-school. The amount of warm gas expelled creates the RI screw zone.
No shit? I never knew that. That's pretty wild.

My stubborn neighbor is doing some shoveling. Lol. What exactly is the point. It's like raking leaves during a tornado.
What's his wife like?

That's the story with this one for many. Even back here, the blowing snow is impressive.
It makes for a hell of a ride regardless of the outcome. I took a brief step outside and actually had snow blow up my shirt lol

Poor rhode island lmao must be pissing their pants. That should fill in.
Lol that's the way it always goes. Although I'm not sure it's been as bad as it looks on radar. Then again it's really hard to tell how much snow is falling vs how much is blowing off the ground with these 50+ mph gusts. It's gone to whiteout in the past couple of minutes and winds are increasing

Crushing here as we start to get hit from that band. I personally prefer heavy drifting because it makes it nearly impossible to tell how much snow has fallen and a lot easier to appreciate what is there. Lots of knee deep drifts to enjoy!

Not sure how that reflects relative to 12z, but banding enhancement certainly looks to be appearing with that “bump” in precip field.
A possibility of the once in a millennia chance for us Rhode Islanders to jackpot?

I can't recall an event where I've seen it switch back and forth between rain and snow so frequently. It's mixing rain and big flakes right now. The ground is still beginning to coat interestingly enough
