Exactly it’s blows +40mph here multiple times a year.

What we aren’t accustomed to is hurricanes or at least we haven’t been for a long time. Was just speaking to my uncle about his and my parents parents remembering 38… for a while they took every subsequent tropical/ hurricane event very seriously. But slowly but surely every year since there’s been less and less of a concern or worry about hurricanes. NEnglanders overall are no longer prepared for big storms like our friends in FL

    .

It's been over 30yrs since hurricane Bob.

I think if westward trends had continued it'd be a different story.

Even so, the media hasn't been overblowing it, and Mainers are more hardy and self sufficient compared to SNE (not the posters here, just in general).  We've dealt with winds like this before - albeit without full sets of leaves and saturated ground.

I'll be interested to see if anyone with waterfront property is making preparations.

I brought my snow shovel in from my porch.

I’m honestly wondering if I will never see a cane hit directly here before my time on Earth is up. I’m 50. Father Time is undefeated . I am legit starting to worry . Congrats to those that willed and wished this one away I guess.

    What about Gloria and Bob?
