The micro climates in our area is interesting. Just a mile or two in distance can make a huge difference in precip and temperatures.
Oh, definitely. During inversions especially. Once it was 40 in Maggie with strong south winds. I drove 5 miles east and it was zero wind and 28 degrees. Oh, and like ice. Maggie rarely gets ice. Snow or rain

That's interesting. All of the temperature stations I've seen in Maggie are between 28-32.
Maybe I need a new thermometer. But my back deck never gets sun in winter and it's just wet. Starting to lay on the trees and cars tho.

Looks like at least 6 inches+ for Maggie Valley. Skiing looks promising for the 3rd weekend in a row!
I'm in Maggie. Just hoping for a couple of inches! I'll take the median of models and be happy!

Welcome!
Thanks! I'm in Maggie Valley and it really is hit or miss. I do remember a nwf event in the 90s that lasted like 3 days. We would have snow showers during the day then sun would come out at times but as soon as it got dark it would absolutely rip rest the night. Good times

Hey y'all, new here. I'm hesitantly excited about this nwf event. Nwf is hit or miss for me but think it might squeeze out a couple of inches here. Hope y'all do well!
