Penn State just canceled classes from 5 am to 10 am. Brilliant, now I don't have an 8 am physics lecture.

How did I go from the rain snow line to the snow gradient in 24 hours in State College

The range NWS State College has is amusing. Anywhere between an inch and a foot.

Just saw lightning, unfortunately not fully thunder snow but still a mix counts for something right

Got absolutely pounded like 7:45 this morning trying to get to physics class. Feel like I had half of inch of snow in a 10 minute walk accumulate on me.

Is that band on the border going to make it to state college?

What does it take for us to get an actual snowstorm around here?

00z gets scary close with the rain snow line. Would like a slight south trend again XD

Any chance we end up with less than 10 inches for the winter?

What would blocking in April do to our weather?

Let’s get some good severe tonight that knocks out the power for several days so we don’t have to look at these progressively more depressing model runs.
At this rate, the severe tonight will collapse and split on approach

Is there a shred of reason to be optimistic about anything this winter/spring? The way it’s going it looks like it’s only misery
-
Is there any other storms beyond this Christmas storm which clearly will not produce much if anything for our region?

We got a severe thunderstorm watch

We have our severe thunderstorm watch. Hope we don't lose power

There are lots of reports in the Pittsburgh thread of the snow mixing with or changing to sleet and then back to snow like every other minute.
Lots of sleet mixing in here still. Had only 2 inches of snow but radar showed .6 inches of liquid.

The next heavy band just north of the border looks to be mostly sleet based on the CC. Then we get dry slotted. What a joke of a system

What’s the next chance for snow? Or is it time to throw in the towel?
