If a storm does exist like on the 12z GFS we could see a legit north trend that lets us get a decent amount of snow. Probably nothing major though. The main issue as others have said is that only the GFS and RGEM show a storm that even has the possibility to trend better for us. Once the Euro, Canadian or NAMs get on board then we can be excited.
Going off the last few Winters, nobody should be excited til the snow is falling

My meteorologist sister in-law sent me a video this morning of the snow and she was talking in the background and mentioned it was, “Puking fatties.” I taught her that lingo. I’ve never been more proud.
She lives near Woodbridge, VA if anyone was wonderingHey that's where I live

And yet Texas gets snow...Seattle gets snow. Explain that, lol
Taking this to banter. This is what annoyed me the most this winter. It's not like it's just been super warm or a lack of precip. Places that have way worse snow climos than the DC area have gotten crazy winter weather and we've gotten jack crap for what, like the 4th straight year?

Am I just too hard to please or have I not been under the "epic ripping OMG" sleet that some of you have? Hard to know.
I often have the same problem with snow too. Is this "heavy"? *shrug shoulders*
Nah I'm with you. It's been sleeting at a pretty good rate but nothing like what the maryland crew is describing. Oh whale

Pretty epic to watch that huge band down south fall apart every second it gets closer

Can't say I've ever seen sleet this heavy before. Looks like pouring rain. Pretty cool

Of course you don't care about totals... you have already been reaped.
My benchmark is 4+ (snow only)... otherwise I may be joining you.
Judging by today's models I think it is doable.
I wish you the best of luck then. You'll get more than me

My benchmark for a good storm is main roads and sidestreets covered. If they aren't, it's not a legit storm. I think I'll get that tomm.
My benchmark as well. If I get that I'll be satisfied. Don't care about totals at this point. 31.1/16.4
