  1. Gfs had nothing but rain for the November 15th snowstorm so don’t get excited for that. Get excited that it’s actually showing snow this time. I think this storm ends up being colder than the gfs is showing it’s thermals are horrible!
  2. That guy is a broken record dude even when he’s right he’s wrong cause even a dead clock is right twice a day! He’s always saying no snow, dude it’s nyc we get snow here at least a few times a year and it’s going to snow next week whether you like it or not.
  3. Gfs FV3 is a lot like like it’s brother gfs but a bit more amped and does change to rain. But it’s a bit more snow cause of heavier precipitation. Euro up to 120hrs is a lot less amped and colder. Let’s see how the run finishes edit: euro is on board for a snowstorm here for next week.
  4. I’d rather get a colder solution with less snow than heavier wet snow to heavy rain come on guys. We’re a team
  5. Icon shows 6 hours of light snow for our region Sunday night into Monday morning 1-2 inches
  6. Gfs FV3 is a crush job for next weeks system. Not as good as the 18z run but it’s definitely a significant snowstorm
  7. 2018 was the 4th warmest year on record globally no wonder we get all these rainers!
  8. .LONG TERM /FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY/... High pressure builds in behind the departing cold front Friday night and remains over the region through Sunday. winds will become more westerly and gusty behind the front Friday night into early Saturday as colder and drier air move into the region. Winds are forecast to reach 20-30 mph with gusts between 30 and 40 mph, with the potential for higher gusts. A wind advisory may be needed in this time frame. Winds gradually decrease late Saturday afternoon as the high builds overhead. The high then moves offshore on Sunday. This will give way to a series of low pressure systems moving across the area early next week. The first wave appears to move across the area Sunday night into Monday. Temperatures at this time appear cold enough for a light snow event. The second wave impacts the region Tuesday and Wednesday. This second low appears to be the more significant than the first one, however right now temperatures appear to warm enough for rain to occur at least at coastal locations and possibly even across the inland areas. The exact track of the low is still uncertain. A track closer to the coast, means more rain and one further from the coast would mean more snow. 39%
  9. I’m not riding it, I actually doubt it but I’m happier that it’s showing it than not
  10. Really? I wasn’t around for that storm I moved to New York City from Luxembourg back in June 1997. I missed the April fools day blizzard too apparently!
  11. Look all I’m saying is he’s saying there’s a 0% chance of verifying that’s just wrong info that’s all. Also the gfs FV3 nailed November 15th snowstorm while the gfs initialized rain during the snowstorm
  12. If you warm ’s would just shut it for once maybe we’ll get a snowstorm here but u guys gotta jinx it every time. Just let us snow be for once this winter, ya bad luck
  13. Dude it’s weather it’s 100 % unpredictable. Gfs Para May be overdone but who’s to say it’s wrong, we don’t know that. We don’t know if the ukmet is wrong or jma or euro or any of these models. The truth is we don’t know and we won’t know for another few days at least so put down your know it all pipe. thanks
