Just woke up. Look outside and see a beautiful 3-5 inch snow. Was expecting much less. Now it is raining.

Looks like the snow here is done. Changed to all sleet. Snow was awesome to look at. Everything is covered. Good luck to everyone.

CC line must’ve moved north. Hearing a lot of sleet.

HRRR was showing the sleet line holding and not getting through wake until 7 or 8 this morning. You guys should have atleast another 4 hours of all snow after that so i can see it being a reality.
Hope it is right. Snows a few inches and then switches over to sleet. Didn’t show too much freezing rain either. Perfect scenario if it verifies.

Fish just tweeted:
If you’re a snow lover in Wake County, you need to realize that there are many ways this system turns out to be a flop, and only a few ways for it to be a big snowstorm. This is precisely why we have taken the ensemble based probabilistic approach we have taken all week.
Now it’s confirmed Wake County getting snow

With this looking like a CAD event with no real other source of cold air, east of US-1 looks like a cold rain.. All the models seem to be trending toward that sharp US-1 cut off.
See you guys next potential event to be let down again!

Took a break from reading for awhile...is there any chance of some snow tomorrow when the low moves out?
